2016's Valentine's Day was no longer a day for love to the American actress and comedian Lauren Lapkus as she announced her split with her husband on that day. However, after two years it was a completely different scenario on the as she flaunted her new "Valentine and Boyfriend" on her Instagram.

The Evanston native is best known for the character of Susan Fischer on a Netflix's comedy-drama web series; Orange is the New Black. Her character won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2015. She recently appeared in the role of Denise in the sitcom, The Big Bang Theory in 2018.

The award-winning actress was born as Dorthea Lauren Allegra Lapkus on 6 September 1985. Her family is of Lithuanian and Greek/Serbian descent. Lauren shares a close bond with her family, as demonstrated by her posts on Instagram. She is especially close to her mother and states loves her too much.

In July 2018, she recalled the moments with her mother by uploading her childhood picture with her on Instagram.

She completed her high school education at Evanston Township High School. She received a degree in English from DePaul University in 2008.

Lauren's Career: Movie Boy To Opening Night And Holmes And Watson Now

Lauren made her on-screen debut in a 2005 film, Movie Boy in a guest role of Pamela. Lauren has also appeared in a sketch on ABC's late-night show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!  in 2010. She got finalized for the part of a security guard, Susan Fischer in the series Orange is the New Black in 2013.

Lauren narrated a role of Vivian Krill in a 2014 science fiction adventure film, Jurassic World. Her acting credits include Opening Night (2016), The Guest Book (2017) and Girlfriend's Day (2017).

She has also been running her own podcast, With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus since 2014 which is airing till now. Her two comedy movies, Dog Days, and Holmes and Watson is set to release in 2018.

Despite her successful career, Lauren has not succeeded in her marital life.

Lauren Lapkus Divorced Husband Chris Alvarado Amid Lesbian Claims

Lauren was in a marital relationship with an actor husband, Chris Alvarado. The couple exchanged their wedding vows in May 2014.

However, their marriage lasted less than two years as the couple divorced on Valentine's day in February 2016. Lauren uploaded a throwback picture of the couple and captioned it stating it was the right time to post that she and Chris decided to part ways.

Further, she added that it had been a tough time, but they were still friends and wished the best for each other. 

Lauren was speculated as a lesbian after her marriage broke out in a short period. But the lesbian rumor got the full stop after she flaunted her dating status with her new boyfriend through her Instagram.

Lauren's Instagram account suggests that she is enjoying a dating relationship with her new partner now. Despite the multiple pictures on Instagram, she tried her best to remain mum on the identity of the suspected boyfriend. The couple is reportedly together for more than a year. 

On 2018's Valentines Day, she uploaded a picture together with him in Disneyland and captioned it with a love emoji as me and my valentine/best friend.

Similarly, she enjoyed pizza at Screamer's pizzeria with her alleged boyfriend in Manhattan in May 2018.

Lauren has not confirmed their relationship and by the numerous posts together it is not quite difficult to trace out the feelings for each other.

Lauren Lapkus Turned Best Friend Into Husband; Surprise!

The Orange is the New Black actress has no more secrete to keep regarding her mysterious best friend/boyfriend cause guess what! She can't get away mum after turning the man into her husband. 

The man's name has been revealed to be Mike Castle who is a writer and actor. Lauren celebrated her big day with the man on 5 October 2018. The pair looked adorable in their wedding attire.

The couple decided to take simply on ceremony by reciting wedding vows at the courthouse. The ceremony was followed by an intimate dinner party and a stunning musical performance by their musician friend named Dan Mangan. The entire occassion was overwhelmingly beautiful to Lauren. She was content with the joy of getting married to her best friend.
