Tamara's Bio: Ethnicity, Rockstar Family, And Psychology

Tamara Eve Braun was born on 18 April 1971 in Evanston Illinois, USA. She was a daughter of a psychiatrist and a psychologist; Renata/Renate E. Bennett and Bennett O. Braun.

She is of Ashkenazi Jewish Ethnicity, passed on to her from her grandparents, who faced an arduous challenge in World war II. Her maternal grandfather, Erwin Samuel Deutsch, and her maternal grandmother, Steffi Buch, were Holocaust survivors, born in Breslau, Germany (now Wroclaw, Poland).

From all her family members, she revealed that her grandfather was with whom she always felt safe, respected, honored and loved; she shared a deep connection of souls with him.

Her family has a playful Karaoke band, consisting of herself and her parents; she’s the bassist, her father is the singer and her mother a keyboard player. She enjoys spending time with her family.

Influenced by her parents’ profession, Tamara majored in psychology at the University of Madison in Wisconsin. However, she was born with the passion for acting. She couldn’t resist who she was and decided to take a summer course at The Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.

First Lesbian Onscreen-Wedding

Braun portrayed the role of Reese Williams on All My Children in 2008. She became part of the famous Reese and Bianca (Eden Riegel) lesbian pair and had their names etched in the history.

They made history when they got married on 14 February 2009, becoming the first legal same-sex marriage on soaps. This step from the television series proved to be a huge boost forward for the future of the LGBT community who weren’t allowed to be legally married.

Braun represented equality and showed immense pride as she encouraged fellow LGBTs to step forward. Six years after the couple's lesbian wedding happened on TV, LGBT marriage was finally legalized in real life on 26 June 2015.

Who is Tamara Braun’s Boyfriend?

Tamara Braun has been associated with her share of men. However, her most famous association came with a politician, Michael Bergan.

Michael was heavily linked as Tamara's boyfriend over the time, and their dating gossips were constant features of detour pages of celebrity magazines. However, the couple's link up was established as just a rumor and had little substance to it.

After, that episode of a dating rumor, she has not attracted news columns because of her love life.

Is Tamara Braun Married?

In 2013, Eden Rigel, her on-screen married partner tweeted that Tamara would always be her first wife.

Tamara hilariously asked her whether she wanted to get married to her again. Despite the wedding taking place on-screen, Tamara and Eden knew the importance of it. They kept on reminding people of that trademark moment until same-sex marriage was finally legalized.

That being said, Tamara has not married in her real-life. Despite having been a part of an event of historical significance, she has failed to hit that landmark in her life and has not got anyone who she can call husband.

However, it's not that she is alone. Tamara Braun seems to have her hands filled with family and an adorable dog.

She seems to be biding by the fact: Almost all dogs are more loyal than most husbands. Or, it could just be that she hasn’t had the time as well as met the right person fit to be her husband yet.
