The Truth behind TikTok Sensation Zoe LaVerne’s Death Rumors
Zoe LaVerne, a TikTok sensation and the creator of the occasional controversy, has been on the internet since she was 15. But recently, she was rumored to be dead.
Here is a detailed look into the rumors that pronounced her dead and whether there is any truth to it.
Is Zoe LaVerne Dead?
The short answer to this question is — No, Zoe is not dead. However, it is interesting to delve deeper into how her death rumors originated.
LaVerne’s death rumors entirely seem to be the work of prank sites. There are a few variations of these rumors, each claiming something different.
A prank site called Channel46news.com has published two variations of this rumor. And even though the supposed news site’s pages do not display the publishing date, diving deeper reveals that the page was first created on August 6, 2020.
This page claims LaVerne was found dead on August 3, 2020, and someone stabbed her 20 times. Further, it also claims that Cody Orlove, a fellow TikToker, was responsible for her demise.
The second variation of this news from the same prank site, published on August 22, 2020, provides a few more made-up details about her passing.
It claims that LaVerne was found on her driveway at 12:56 AM, bleeding because Cody Orlove supposedly ran her over while she was filming a TikTok.
Then, the page claims, her mother rushed her to the hospital but to no avail. They also urge people to call 911 if they see Orlove.
But the page contradicts their own story from a few days ago, saying that the cause of her death was hit-and-run and not stabbing.
There are a few other variations of this prank news, at least three more we could find. One of those pages falsely claims LaVerne slipped in the bathroom and hit her head, and Orlove found her lifeless.
Another one claims Lexi Orlove, Cody’s sister, strangled her and then stabbed her to death, and the third variation says that she passed away because of depression and other health conditions.
The only thing common between these last three prank news is the peculiar publication date — May 26, 2059.
The choice of the supposed murderer in many of these fake news, too, is fascinating.
Cody Orlove, the murderer in many of these stories, used to date Zoe, and they had an on-and-off relationship for two years before finally ending things in June 2020.
Living And Thriving
Now that we’ve established that LaVerne is not dead, let’s see what she is up to now.
The social media star is very much thriving. LaVerne, who was born on June 3, 2001, has an increasing fanbase on social media, is already engaged, and even getting ready to welcome a baby into the world with her fiancé.
She has around 2.7 million followers on her Instagram and about 19.2 million on her TikTok account, with a whopping 1.8 billion likes on her TikTok videos. And she posts regularly on both those platforms.
On May 24, 2020, she took to Instagram to wish her fiancé, Dawson Brady, on his 21st birthday and posted a clip of their birthday celebrations on TikTok a few days later.
The couple got engaged on May 2, 2020, during the gender reveal event for their daughter, Emersyn.
But before she got engaged and had a baby, LaVerne was a part of a few controversies.
These include her tendencies for frequent online outbursts, feuds with fellow TikTok stars like Charli D’Amelio, drama with ex-boyfriend Cody Orlove, kissing and “catching feelings” for a 13-year-old fan Connor Joyce, and usage of private Instagram accounts to address her involvement in those controversies.
Nevertheless, that’s all in the past, and fans cannot wait to see what new and exciting things life brings for soon-to-be Zoe Day and her daughter.
