Pusha T and his wife, Virginia Williams, tied the knot on July 21, 2018. The couple had a star-studded celebration at the Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach.

The guest list included A-listers like Kanye West and Kim Kardashian and fellow musicians Fabolous, The Dream, and Trey Songz.

Meanwhile, Pharrell Williams, a close friend of the rapper, served as his best man.

Naturally, after the wedding, the rapper and his wife started a family.

They announced they were expecting their first child together in December 2019, and several months later, on June 11, the rapper’s wife gave birth to their son, Nigel Brixx

The ‘Sweet Serenade’ rapper took to his Instagram to share two adorable photos of his newborn child.

Pusha T Talks About Fatherhood and His Son

Recently, during an interview with Complex, the rapper opened up about fatherhood and how he balanced it with his rap career.

The rapper noted that he kept a tight schedule these days because his son came before anything else, even his precious music career.

He said becoming a dad was his “proudest moment ever,” explaining, “Fatherhood is the best thing. That’s my best verse ever, like a 48-bar verse. The best one, line for line. No wasted bar.”

And with a kid to take care of, the rapper had no time to waste.

The rapper recalled how difficult it was for him to leave his kid to go to New York, sharing that he kept forgetting his things and going back home to get them.

But each time he went back, his son would cry when he left, making him guilty about leaving.

Therefore, the rapper had no time to play and was 100% focused on getting his work done in the studio.

He didn’t waste his time sipping Hennessy with his fellow rappers, and most of the time, he was not in the mood to do a feature.

“I’m sure I don’t want my time to be taken from him. I’m not playing about anything that could disrupt his [Pusha’s child] comfort,” said the rapper.

Pusha T Moves on from Beef with Drake

Fatherhood has not only changed the rapper’s priority, but it has also changed his perspective on his verbal sparring with Toronto superstar Drake

In 2018, Pusha released the diss track, ‘The Story of Adidon’ directed at Drake for being a deadbeat father after rumors had swirled that the ‘Too Sexy’ rapper had secretly fathered a child.

Drake didn’t deny or confirm the rumors, causing Pusha to call out the rapper.

But Drake later shared in his Scorpion album confession that he was not hiding his kid from the world; he was hiding the world from his kid.

And recently, on an episode of Desus & Mero, while promoting his new project, Pusha opened up about his beef with Drake.

When asked how the rapper could move past his feud, he said he didn’t enjoy talking about it, especially since he had become a father.

“I don’t like the energy of mentioning my son in that type of energy or any kid in that type of energy. It’s not my thing right now. I’m just not going to play about anything involving him. Like, I don’t play nothing. So it’s like, ‘You know what? I’ll just [leave it alone],’” said the rapper.

He added that he was focused on his kid and nothing else.
