Penelope Ann Miller Almost Divorced Her Husband — Here’s Why She Changed Her Mind
Actress Penelope Ann Miller has been married to her husband, James Huggins, since May 28, 2000.
Over the years, the couple has maintained a happy family life for themselves.
And of course, their two daughters, Eloisa May and Maria Adela, are a significant part of their beautiful family.
Having said that, the Carlito’s Way star allegedly went through a rough patch in her marriage for a brief time around 2012.
That year in March, she filed for divorce from her husband after close to 12 years of marriage.
Penelope Ann Miller Filed for Divorce from Her Husband
According to TMZ, Miller filed for legal separation from her husband, Huggins, in the Los Angeles County Superior Court in early March 2012.
She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split while requesting to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to Huggins.
She also demanded sole legal and physical custody of their children.
But Penelope Ann Miller Soon Dismissed Her Separation Request
Three months after filing for divorce, Miller again filed papers in court. But this time, she did so to call off her separation request from her longtime husband, Huggins.
Online tabloids, during the time, reported that the actress had a change of heart, which led her to withdraw her divorce request.
Also, some claimed that the couple had been together for too long and shared children — due to which she changed her mind.
But she didn’t disclose any reasons for doing so.
Before her current husband, Miller was married to her first husband, Will Arnett, a Canadian actor and comedian, between December 1994 and January 1995.
