MLB Star Mookie Betts Can Finally Call Brianna Hammond His Wife — Inside Their 15 Years Relationship

Mookie Betts is officially a married man now.
On Wednesday, December 1, the 29-year-old MLB star tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend and fiancée Brianna Hammonds in an outdoor ceremony in Racho Palos Verdes, California.

Betts and his wife Hammonds, who previously announced their engagement in January, after 15 years of being together, were joined by family and friends, including their daughter Kynlee, at the wedding.
Other guests included rapper Nelly, Dodgers stars Justin Turner and Chris Taylor, free agent Kenley Jansen, and coach Dave Roberts.
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder rocked a hunter green tux with a black tie and match loafers. Hammonds, on the other hand, wore a strapless white gown with a sweetheart neckline.
The newlywed couple also shared their first kiss as husband and wife before making their way down the aisle, where guests welcomed them with a smile.
On November 2021, Betts even took to his social media to ask his fans to help him pick a hashtag for his wedding. He provided fans with options such as “#HomeRunLove,” “#MookieBettsOnBri” and “BettsOnLove.”
The Couple Got Engaged in January
Earlier this year in January, the MLB star went down on his knees to propose to his now-wife, Hammonds. He surprised her with a radiant cut, 7-carat diamond in Nashville, Tennessee.
He also read a sweet poem he wrote for his wife while popping the question and revealed he had planned an engagement dinner for them.
“Brianna has been by my side since we were teenagers,” Betts told People at the time. “Together we’ve grown mentally, physically, and spiritually. She is my best friend, mother of my child, my lover, and my soon-to-be wife.”
He continued to express, “Winning another World Series was great, but putting a ring on my MVP is the real blessing! I am a blessed man.”
The meal for the engagement dinner was curated by private chef James Dalton, with DJ Steph Floss playing some soothing music. The floral design was done by Meg Hutchinson.
The engagement was attended by the couple’s close family and friends, and the entire evening was reportedly captured by Natasha Herbert Photography.
Mookie Betts and Brianna Hammonds’ 15-Year-Long Relationship
The wedding for Betts and Hammonds came 15 years after they first met each other in middle school. Hammonds was in the seventh grade while Betts was studying in eighth grade when they came across each other.
From their relationship, the couple also shares one child together — a daughter, Kynlee, whom they welcomed in November 2018.
As a longtime partner, Hammonds saw her husband reach the peak of his career. Just before their engagement, Betts was honored by CC & Amber Sabathia’s PitCCh In foundation with the 2020 LegaCCy Award.
During their relationship, he played for the Red Sox from 2014 to 2019. In February 2020, he was traded to the Dodgers and subsequently signed a 12-year offering $365 million contract extension.
The same year, the Dodgers, featuring Betts, defeated the Rays in the World Series for the team’s first championship in 32 years.
