However, there have been some rumors suggesting the longtime couple ended their marriage after 30 years of togetherness. 

The news of their alleged separation first came out in July 2021 after the announcement of Collins’ poetry collection book 'Some Things I Still Can’t Tell You.'

Later released in October, the book seemingly revealed that the Gotham Knights actor and his wife, Vicki Vantoch, had separated after thirty years together.

And fast forward to 2022, we also saw a rise in bisexual rumors regarding the White House intern turned actor.

Still, many fans have refused to believe his clarifications. But first things first, the bisexual rumors regarding Collins have made it to the public, especially because of his comments related to his sexuality at Creation Entertainment’s Supernatural Official Convention in 2022.

After asking fans, “By a show of force, how many of you would consider yourself introverts? How many extroverts? And how many bisexuals?” he revealed, “I’m all three.” 

Collins, however, later pulled back from his comments and insisted that he was not bisexual after fans began speculating that he came out.

He wrote an apology message on Instagram,  

I want to deeply apologize for misspeaking this weekend. At a fan convention in New Jersey, when I was talking with the audience I said that I was “all three” things: an introvert, an extrovert and a bisexual.  My clumsy intention was to wave off actually discussing my sexuality, but I badly fumbled that and understand that was seen as me coming out as bisexual. This was not my intention so I need to correct the record: I am not bisexual.

I happen to be straight, but I am also a fierce ally and the last thing I want to do is falsely co-opt the struggles of the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe and fully support that we need to sanctify the human right to express our identities honestly and to be free to love whomever we choose openly.

I am deeply sorry for the clumsiness of my language. I want to be a better ally and I feel sick to my stomach that I might have done anything to make things worse. I’m trying to learn, trying to do better and I will keep listening.

And not only his comments, Collins’ LGBTIQ+ character, Castiel, who expressed love for Dean Winchester on Supernatural, has also led many to speculate about his sexuality. Adding to that, his drag attire when he renewed his wedding vows in 2011 in a ceremony held at a supermarket also fueled gay rumors regarding him.

Is Misha Collins Still married to his wife, Victoria Vantoch, or separated?

From what we know, Misha is technically married to his wife, Victoria Vantoch. Also, it’s true that one of his poems hints at his possible separation from his wife, Victoria. However, it is not known if the poetry was written artistically or based on reality.

And as far as what has been reported, they haven’t officially initiated the divorce.

They had married on 6 October 2001 after they first met each other in school in an English class. As it turned out, he was the only boy in the class. They started dating when Collins was 16 years old.

Speaking of his poems that hinted at his separation, in one poem titled ‘IN PASSING’ of his 144-pages poetry book, he writes, "Some Things I Still Can’t Tell You,’ he wrote, “I’m alone in San Francisco. And this morning, a man walked past me on a steep hillside sidewalk...”

The poem continues, “And, passing, he said the words, Don’t be lonely. Be HAPPY.”

And because the poem seemingly hinted at the narrator’s loneliness and being alone, many netizens started hypothesizing that they were no longer together. 

But even though Collins’ texts in his poetry book may imply that he separated from his longtime wife, neither of them has officially confirmed the split.

Oh No They Didn’t was probably the first live journal outlet to cover Collins and his wife Vantoch’s alleged separation.

The story was published, citing the actor’s poetry collection as the source of information.

The story received massive attention from fans as they commented on their thoughts on the news.

“Still sad about this after the news broke last night. There had been rumors for a while but like most of fandom, I dismissed them. But a lot of things (like Misha not being as home as much, and staying at Richard Speight Jr.’s house in LA for a while) make sense now,” one explained the whole scenario.

Another added, “I can’t even imagine the stress that being a working actor puts on a marriage, especially when you’re living apart for 9 months out of every year for over a decade like Misha & Vicki.”

“No. It’s not. This is the first I’ve heard about it. I’m gutted,” Misha’s Supernatural co-star Jared Padalecki also tweeted in disbelief.

There is also a Reddit thread where fans have discussed the topic of “Misha’s getting divorced?” for months now.

One user on the platform stated they saw Collins’ acknowledgment in his book, saying that he and his wife had separated.

They also added the couple could rekindle their romance since they were only “separated” and not “divorced.”

“I had a feeling that was the case, but was hoping I was wrong. They’ve been living in two different states for at least a year now,” another stated.

Born on 30 January 1974 in Riverdale, Illinois, United States, Victoria Vantoch is the wife of actor Misha Collins, who was born on 20 August 1974 to Richard Krushnic and Rebecca Tippens. Vantoch is a historian, journalist, author, and former airline flight attendant who has published her works in the likes of The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, and U.S. News & World Report. 

As of writing, Collins is 48 years old. He was raised in an irreligious family, but the actor got his beliefs aligned with Buddhism. 

Misha Collins' wife's book is extremely personal

In his wife Vicki’s 2007 book titled “The Threeso** Handbook: A Practical Guide to Sleeping With Three,” in which she shared a story of how she and her husband had an intimate physical affair with her best friend and afterward, how both of them fell for her. 

Here’s an excerpt from the book,

One night, my husband and i were at my best friend’s apartment. After a few cosmopolitans and a game of truth or dare, we all ended up in bed together. The s** was so sensational that we started meeting for weekends trysts. One afternoon, i caught myself in a garden collecting wild butterflies for her. What the f–k? I realized i had fallen in love with my best friend. As it tourned out: my husband had too. Suddenly it was a lot to juggle. He and I were still in love with each other. I loved them both, they loved each other, and they both loved me. The scenario was exhilarating and terrifying all at once.

Although the book doesn’t exclusively reveal Misha’s name, Vicki thanks “M” at the book’s ending and refers to him as a “sweet coadventurer in love and life.”
