Nicholas Diego Leanos, popularly known as Lil Xan, gained massive fame and rose to prominence after his single ‘Betrayed’ ranked within the top 100 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. 

Following his success, he released his debut studio album, Total Xanarchy, which received positive reviews from critics and the audience. 

XXL noted that while some tracks were redundant in his album, a lot of music on this album was “fresh, exciting and a sign of the changing times.”

After he made a mark in the music scene, he garnered a massive fan base, and naturally, they were curious about all aspects of his life, especially his dating life. 

On August 1, 2018, the rapper shocked fans when he shared a video of planting a kiss on Noah Cyrus's cheeks.

Lil Xan and Noah Cyrus Confirmed Dating

After Lil Xan confirmed he was dating Cyrus on social media, the latter opened up about how they ended up dating. 

On August 14, 2018, the ‘All Falls Down’ singer told E! News’ Tamara Dhia at the Teen Choice Awards that it was all thanks to social media. 

“Xan slid into the DMs. It works, people. Actually, it didn’t work. He DMed me like in February, and I didn’t see it for months, and then I saw that he was following me, and I was like, ‘Lil Xan, cool, he’s following me. I’ll follow him back,’” shared Cyrus.

The songstress said they spent time in the studio making music together and even teased a collaboration. 

And then, on August 20, 2018, Cyrus and her boyfriend dropped their new song titled ‘Live or Die.’

The song was about their relationship and featured romantic lyrics like “When you lay by my side, I see the entire world through your eyes,” and “And one plus one is two, and without you, I think I’d go insane.”

The couple went public with their love at the 2018 MTV VMAs. They attempted to share a kiss on the red carpet, but Lil Xan missed his timing, which made for a hilarious photo.

Unfortunately, a few weeks after their public debut, there was trouble in paradise.

On September 3, 2018, the former couple hopped on Instagram and confirmed their split in a series of emotional posts. 

In a since-deleted post, Lil Xan accuses his ex of cheating, saying, “I feel like I’m probably being cheated on...It just hurts so [expletive] bad, you think you know somebody, and then you just get used.”

But Cyrus turned it around and accused the rapper of cheating, claiming she had been ignored and noticed a hickey on his neck. 

Lil Xan didn’t address the allegations, but he said their relationship was a PR stunt by their record label. The duo went back and forth until the rapper apologized to his ex for everything.
