Joey King is finally engaged with her boyfriend, Steven Piet.

On March 1, 2022, the Kissing Booth star took to Instagram to officially announce that she and her director beau got engaged last month.

"The date was 2/2/22 when you asked me to marry you and made me the luckiest lady alive," she wrote in the caption, revealing the duo became engaged on February 2, 2022, and agreed to the wedding in the future.

She further expressed her happiness, writing, "I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can't help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy."

Not just that, King added she never knew that a person's presence and heart could feel like a real home, and love could be so "unquestionably beautiful." But she allegedly realized all those things after knowing him.

In her engagement announcement post, the actress shared a series of pictures of the couple from the big day.

In one picture, King showed off her engagement ring that she wore on her ring finger painted with black nail polish.

The other pictures similarly saw the newly engaged pair getting intimate in front of the camera.

On the other hand, her boyfriend Piet, who wrote and directed the 2015 film Uncle John, shared a few other engagement pictures, writing, "The weather was less than perfect. Cold. Windy. Perfectly imperfect to ask my best friend to spend a lifetime together."

He added, "You've unlocked a dimension of love in me that I never knew existed."

Going by their posts, both seem to be equally excited for the things — including wedding — that lies ahead of them.

However, they are yet to share any details about when they will walk down the aisle. But that does not appear too far.

Who Is Steven Piet?

King's fiancé Piet, age 30, is a man of many talents. He has worked as an executive producer, writer, and director in various Hollywood projects.

Speaking of some of his renowned works, he was a co-executive producer on the drama series The Act, in which she played the real-life Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

Piet also directed two episodes of the first season — 'Free' and 'Plan B.'

In addition, the Chicago native directed episodes of Briarpatch and Channel Zero and served as a consulting producer on 2018's Nightflyers, which is based on a series of short stories by Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin.

King and Piet reportedly hit it off after they first met on the set of 2019's television series The Act.

In September 2019, the two were also spotted at a Cinespia screening of Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, followed by a cozy outing with King's two sisters, Hunter and Kelli.

The words around their romance kept increasing with their regular love-filled social media posts and intimate public appearances. It soon became evident that they were dating each other.
