Many of us have heard about Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Vanessa Paradis’ daughter, Lily-Rose Melody Depp, an established actress and model.

She has already cemented her status in Hollywood and will soon star alongside The Weeknd in an upcoming HBO drama, The Idol.

But what most might have missed out on is that Depp and his ex-wife also have a son named Jack Depp, whose real name is John Christopher Depp III. 

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor and his ex were together from 1998 to 2012, and in April 2002, Jack was born, three years after his sister. And unlike his sister, Jack does not seem interested in following in his father’s footsteps. 

According to his father, he hasn’t shown any desire to become an actor and is into drawing and music.

The young man keeps a low profile and has lived his life out of the public eye. He is rarely photographed and does not seem to be on any social media platforms. 

Jack Depp’s Serious Illness

In 2018, it was reported that Jack suffered from a serious illness. At the time, his mother was supposed to attend the Paris premiere of her movie A Knife in the Heart. However, she was missing from the event. 

Later, director Yann Gonzalez revealed the actress was with her son, who was sick.

“Unfortunately, Vanessa Paradis could not join us tonight. She had to be absent because of her son’s serious health illness,” the director said at the screening, according to the French outlet Public.

The Depp family never explained what the "serious illness" was, but a few days later, it seemed Jack had recovered from the illness. 

A source who had seen the ill teenager walking with a female friend around his mom’s Paris apartment told People he was looking “a lot better.”

Jack’s recovery from his illness was right on time because a few days later, his mother tied the knot with her second husband, Samuel Benchetrit. 

The young man and his sister were spotted at the celebrations, appearing elated for their mother.

Jack Depp’s Dating Status

Speaking of love and relationships, Jack and his alleged girlfriend, French model Camille Jansen, were spotted together out and about in the U.K. in 2020 despite avoiding the public eyes.

After that day, the pair were rarely photographed together and kept a low profile. Neither Jack nor his model girlfriend spoke about their relationship on social media. 

However, according to reports, when Jack turned 18, his girlfriend took to Instagram to share an adorable tribute to him in celebration of his special day. 

“Happy birthday, my love,” Jansen captioned their photo where she had her hands wrapped around Depp, who hid his face underneath a bucket hat. 

A fan commented on the photo, asking if they were still a couple, to which another user responded that they had broken up, but Jansen was still friendly with his sister. 

However, the current status of their relationship is unconfirmed as neither party has made any official statement to the media.
