American football wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders walked down the aisle with his wife Gabriella Waheed back in 2013.

They are also parents to two children: Princeton, born in 2014, and Zoie, born in 2016.

However, there was one instance when Sanders and Waheed went through a tough time in their marital life. In fact, according to TMZ, the football player’s wife had even filed for divorce in Texas in October 2016.

Due to that, many assume that the couple is no longer together and relishes a single life.

Is Emmanuel Sanders Still Married?

It was for the first time in 2016 — since Sanders and Waheed got married — that any issue about their relationship came out in public.

The mentioned tabloid reported that the divorce was filed a few days before the couple’s third wedding anniversary and were expecting their second child.

According to the court docs, Waheed stated, “the marriage has become insupportable because of discord and conflict of personalities,” but didn’t reveal what exactly led her to the decision.

A judge even granted the kids’ fashion designer a temporary restraining order against the NFL star that gave Sanders “limited” access to their then-two-year-old son and the then-baby-to-be.

However, the couple allegedly sorted out their differences and got back to being together — and stayed married as husband and wife.

Emmanuel Sanders and Wife Express Love Publicly

At present, Sanders and Waheed regularly show off their love for each other publicly, through social media platforms.

For instance, Waheed, a founder at Kid Kong NYC, took to Instagram on 2021’s Christmas to wish her friends, family, and followers, sharing a family picture of her.

In the picture, she sat down right in front of the Christmas tree along with her husband, Sanders, and their two children.

The couple wore matching black night suits while their son and daughter sported matching red ones.

The seasoned player for the Buffalo Bills is no less when it comes to expressing his love for his family members. 

Sanders dedicated his Mother’s Day post in May 2021 to his beloved wife. He shared a series of his family pictures while thanking Waheed for looking after him and their kids daily. 

“You’ve put the family on your back many times even when it was 20 times your weight. We’re blessed to have you in our lives. We appreciate you and Love you!” he added.

Sanders and Waheed’s two kids have completed the couple’s family. And since they have been parents, they have taken every opportunity to show themselves as great parents.

From celebrating the birthdays of their little ones to occasionally sharing updates about them on social media, the couple has done it with perfection.

The two also regularly take the kids on vacations, helping them explore different countries and learn the unique cultures.
