Dianna Agron — an actress and singer known for her role in the musical comedy-drama series Glee — was a close friend of famed singer-songwriter Taylor Swift for a long time.

Due to their friendship and the closeness that came with it, the two were even rumored to have dated each other around 2011.

The possibility of Agron and Swift dating was the talk of the town between 2011 and 2013. That was also the time when the singer's album 1989 was released, and fans believed the song 'Wonderland' from that album was about the actress.

Swifties were quick to spot hidden meanings in many of the song lyrics. For instance, one fan on Reddit broke down the theory about the song.

"I feel like this one is no doublty about [Dianna Agron]," the fan wrote.

They continued, "This is what started to get me thinking seriously about the articles I had read. Those of you who don't know, DA had a tumblr account called 'down the rabbit hole' and had 'we're all mad here' tattooed on her. DA does have green eyes."

"I also think 'Didn't it all seem new and exciting' could be relevant to stepping out of that comfort zone of her sexuality," the fan ended their theory.

Not just that! The dating rumors got even more fueled after Agron appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2011 and addressed whether she was dating Swift.

Addressing the much talked about topic, she said, "Wouldn't that be juicy?" before blowing a kiss to the camera and saying, "Hi, Taylor."

Rumors Started Again When 'folklore' Was Released

The dating rumors that had chilled down after a few years of heavy speculation again started making the headlines when the singer surprised her fans after a summer in quarantine with the folklore album.

The fans of Swift soon started to dissect the music and lyrics on the folk-inspired album.

Meanwhile, they also caught Agron listening to 'Cargidan' on Spotify, sparking the rumors about the "Swiftgron" relationship once again.

But There Has Been No Confirmation

Despite the years-long rumors, the speculation has not been confirmed yet. 

Hence, it would be unfair to claim that the two had a romantic relationship in the past without any solid confirmation from any one of them.

But at present, Argon and Swift are not spotted together in the present, with many believing they are not even good friends.

Speaking of the present, Swift is currently in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. As of March 2022, the two have been together for over four years.

The singer and Alwyn, an actor, reportedly first met at the 2016 Met Gala. Following that, they made multiple public appearances together that year, as well as in the subsequent years until now.

On the other hand, Agron dated and married the Mumford & Sons guitarist Winston Marshall. She was married to him from October 2016 to August 2020. Her present relationship status remains unknown.
