'Dark' Season 3 Trailer of Supernatural Time-travel Series Leaves Fans Pondering About The Final Cycle
Netflix has released the trailer of its sc-fi thriller series Dark. It offers a few clues but leaves even more questions unanswered about its mysterious supernatural time-travel narrative.
While the announcement teaser—that was released two weeks before the trailer—gave us plenty of looks at the series’ final cycle, this fresh trailer of Dark gives us slightly more idea of how the events will shift from the existing world to the alternate world.
The final season looks to be centered around Martha from the alternative world (played by Lisa Vicari) trying to help Jonas Kahnwald (played by Louis Hofmann) to find the origin of time-travel and how the two different worlds are connected.
The trailer remains vague about what’s eventually going to happen. Still, it teases fans with lots of confusing actions —from a mysterious letter into the hands of the stranger (older Jonas) to Jonas coming out from a deserted cave.
Further, the introduction of three new characters, who are seen burning Adam’s office in the trailer, has raised more curiosity regarding their part in the final cycle.
The trailer also includes the end scene from season 2, where Martha from the alternate world appears out of the blue. And when Jonas asks her about the time dimension she came from, she hints that she came from a different world. That very moment leaves Jonas as well as the fans in shock.
“It’s not about what time. But from what world.”
With the trailer, the creators of the show, Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, have succeeded in raising more curiosity amongst the fans. The bemusing trailer refrains from giving away any major plot of the series. One of the fans commented on the trailer, saying, “this trailer is more confusing than the whole two seasons.”

Similarly, a fan commented on the trailer video that he had been getting emotional since the series was coming to an end.
“The scenery, the plot, the characters, the mind-bending storyline, and the climax...DAMN I WILL CRY HARD WHEN THIS MASTERPIECE WILL BE OVER. THEY DON'T MAKE SERIES LIKE THIS THAT OFTEN!”
The final cycle will reveal what happens to the world that comprises “good and bad.” The sci-fi series Dark starring Louis Hofmann, Lisa Vicari, Oliver Masucci, and Maja Schöne is set to release on June 27, 2020, on Netflix.
Netflix has published a synopsis of the series.
In the third and final season, Dark reaches its mind-bending conclusion, moving beyond the concept of space and time. Upon arrival in a new world, Jonas tries to make sense of what this rendition of Winden means for his own fate, while the ones left behind in the other world are left on a quest to break the loop that now not only bends time but also space. Two worlds. Light and dark. And in the centre, a tragic love story of epic proportions.
Alongside Lisa Vicari and Louis Hofmann, the series also casts Karoline Eichhorn, Anatole Taubman, Angela Winkler, Andreas Pietschmann, Karoline Eichhorn, Stephan Kampwirth, Michael Mendl, Oliver Masucci, Sebastian Rudolph, Jördis Triebel, and Maja Schöne.
