Christian Slater Welcomed His Third Kid 18 Years after His First Two Kids

Christian Slater has been married twice and has three kids from his two marriages.

From his marriage to his first wife, Ryan Haddon, the daughter of model Dayle Haddon, he has two children.

They are — son Jaden Christopher, born in 1999, and daughter Eliana Sophia, born in 2001.

Christian Slater Had Third Kid with Second Wife

In August 2019, Slater eventually welcomed his third child with his second wife, Brittany Lopez. The baby girl, Lena, happened to be the couple's first child.

The actor had his youngest child close to two decades after he had his second baby — 18 years to be exact.

Speaking with People in June 2020, the Heathers star opened up about his newborn and how she was keeping the couple "very busy" amid the coronavirus pandemic.

He shared that one of his favorite moments had been "getting to see my daughter start crawling." But he and his wife were eagerly waiting for the little one to say either "Mama" or "Dada."

He also admitted to regularly spending time with his daughter so that he could teach her to say "Dada."

But along with "Dada," he made sure she also learned "Mama" to keep things balanced and make everyone happy.

Meanwhile, one of his other kids, daughter Eliana, lived together with the couple and her half-sister.

"I feel for everyone that is being affected by this, but getting the chance to spend some time with family, spend time with my older daughter who's been with us before she goes off to college, [is great]," Slater told the publication.

Lena Is One of Christian Slater’s Favorite Kids

The youngest child has presumably brought great joy into Slater's family life.

During the previous conversation, the actor even hinted that she was one of his favorite kids by describing her as "a wonderful spirit."

He went on to gush about her, saying, "It's really incredible. She's smiling all the time. It really does brighten up your life. She's a joy to be around."

But that does not mean he is less admiring of his other kids.

In the interview, he also shared how proud he was of his older daughter, Eliana, who was about to graduate high school.

She was reportedly set to celebrate her graduation with a Zoom party and t-shirt Slater ordered for her that read, "Quarantine Graduate of 2020."

"[Eliana] has really blossomed as a very beautiful, intelligent, wonderful, very kind, lovely person. She's great with the baby and just a really warmhearted, special person," Slater praised his middle child.

A Look at Christian Slater’s Marriages

Slater was married to his first wife, Haddon, from 2000 to 2007. They had their wedding after a few years of relationship.

But due to growing domestic violence between them, the couple announced their separation in late 2004. The couple later officially separated in 2005 and divorced in 2007.

In 2006, the actor also sought joint custody of his then 4-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son.

Fast forward to December 2013, and Slater married his longtime girlfriend, Lopez, in Florida. They walked down the aisle after three years of dating.

The couple is now happily married with a child from their marriage. Slater’s two children from his previous marriage also apparently visit the couple time and again.
