Charlie Sheen Sorts Out Child Support Case with Ex Wife
Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen has settled his child support case with ex-wife Brooke Mueller.
Sheen, who shares twin sons — Max and Bob — with Mueller, had been paying $55,000 a month in child support to her ever since they split in 2011.
The actor filed legal papers in 2018, asking for his monthly payment for child and spousal support to Mueller and ex-wife Denise Richards to be lowered.
According to Us Weekly, Sheen claimed his income had changed significantly, and he could no longer afford to pay the amount previously agreed on. He used to pay Richards $20,000 in child support as well as 9.5% of his gross annual income from all sources to Mueller and Richards.

“I have been unable to find steady work, and have been blacklisted from many aspects of the entertainment industry,” Sheen alleged in his filings. “All of this has resulted in a significant reduction in my earnings.”
Almost four years after Sheen’s filing, he and Mueller have finally come to an agreement regarding the new payment.
The Blast reported that both parties had settled regarding all issues raised in the modification of support for their children. However, the exact numbers have not been disclosed.
Charlie Sheen Stopped Paying Child Support to Denise Richards
Sheen also shares two daughters — Sami and Lola — with Richards. The two tied the knot on June 15, 2002, and separated four years later on November 30, 2006.
Sheen and Richards similarly made headlines in October 2021 when a court ruled he didn’t have to pay any more child support to Richards after she failed to show up at a hearing for the case.
The Two and a Half Men star called the ruling “extremely fair” while a source close to Richards said she wasn’t aware of the court date.
“Charlie had filed two years ago and kept pushing the court date, so Denise was very surprised that it happened while she was out-of-town filming,” the source told Page Six.
However, a separate insider told People that Richards had known about the court date for six months.
Around the same time, Sheen’s daughter Sami had moved in with him. She had also called Richard’s home “abusive” in a now private TikTok video, adding that she felt “trapped.”
A source later explained Sami moved in with her dad because Richards was strict with rules, while Sheen didn’t support implementing Richards’ rules. “He [Sheen] has a different way of parenting, and Sami decided to live with her dad.”
Denise Richards Didn’t Receive Child Support for 4 Years
After the court hearings, there were speculations that Richards had a falling out with both of her daughters because of Sami moving in with Sheen and her TikTok video.
However, an insider claimed the speculations were false. “She didn’t have a falling out with her daughters and she cares about them deeply. But Charlie condones behavior that he shouldn’t and sets no rules. Lola doesn’t live there permanently. Sami prefers no rules.”
The insider also added that Sheen hadn’t paid Richards in the last four years.
