After his split from his wife of nine years, Affleck is in a relationship with actress Floriana Lima, best known for her work in the CW series Supergirl. The news of the actors dating each other came out when they were first spotted back in October 2016 at Malibu beach.  

The 46-year-old brother of Ben Affleck was spotted putting his arm around the 40-year-old Supergirl actress in 2016 as they ran errands in the celebrity beach enclave during the weekend. 

Although they have remained silent about their relationship with the media, they have stepped out together numerous times since then.

The pair made their red carpet debut in February 2017 at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. They were spotted together, enjoying an intimate trip to Campo Dei Fiori in Rome, Italy.

The couple has been dating each other for 5 years now, and although both of them have quite a presence on their Instagram, they rarely post pictures with each other or talk about their relationship.

Affleck posted a picture of his son on his Instagram page in 2019, which he captioned "This beautiful young man is spreading his wings in Alaska." Lima commented on the post with a heart-eye emoji.

The relationship of the celebrity pair blossomed only a few months after Affleck's ex-wife called time on her relationship with the Manchester By the Sea star in March 2016. Affleck has two children, Indiana, 17, and Atticus, 14, with ex-wife Summer Phoenix. 

The star officially split with Phoenix in August 2017. The divorce documents stated Phoenix cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. 

A source added at the time, "She [Phoenix] was having a lot of trust issues. They went to couples counseling but they just couldn't recover."

Affleck was introduced to Phoenix by her brother and Joker star Joaquin Phoenix in the late 1990s. 

Phoenix and Affleck worked together in multiple digital and stage productions, including the 2000 film Committed and a 2002 play called This Is Our Youth. 

Affleck went on his knees to propose to his long-term girlfriend in January 2004 and walked down the aisle on June 3, 2006, in a private ceremony in Savannah, Georgia.

Their relationship had been treading choppy waters until Phoenix finally filed for divorce on August 1, 2017. Affleck called their divorce "an amicable one" and noted that they have decided on remaining each other's friends.Â
