In April 2021, actress and singer Jennifer Lopez and former New York Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez broke off their engagement after four years of relationship.

Since then, she has reconnected with her former fiancé and actor, Ben Affleck. There have been speculations that the two are together, although some sources maintain the stars are strictly friends. 

Affleck and Lopez Reunite

On April 30, Page six exclusively reported that Affleck visited Lopez three times since she came back from the Dominican Republic shooting her new movie Shotgun Wedding.

On April 28, Affleck was seen coming out of Lopez’s Bel Air home. Page Six reported that on April 29, the actor dropped his car at Hotel Bel-Air, was picked up by the white Escalade SUV, stayed at Lopez’s home for around three and a half hours, and then the same SUV dropped him back at the hotel. 

The Gone Girl star was spotted going to J. Lo’s California house in her SUV, and as reported by a source, security picks him and drops him off at a nearby location after the pair have spent a few hours together.

As of recent, Affleck was seen in a gray Boston T-shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers. He was carrying a military green backpack along with a can of Coke Zero while exiting the SUV. While the two haven’t been spotted together, Lopez was also seen on the same SUV on April 29, confirming that Affleck was picked up in Lopez’s car.

Twitter Reacts To The Reunion. 

People took to Twitter to portray their feelings about the duo reuniting almost two-decade later. 

While some people were happy about their reunion;

Some people couldn’t care less about it. 

The reunion, be it romantic or platonic, has seemingly generated two sides. As this relationship develops, so shall the opinions as well. 

A Timeline of Their Relationship

Affleck and Lopez first met each other on the set of Gigli in 2002. At that time, though, they didn’t have chemistry going, and it was seen in the movie as well. The critics heavily complained about this deficiency, and the film was a box-office tank overall. 

At this point, Lopez was filing for divorce from Cris Judd, her second husband. After the divorce, she and Affleck went public with their relationship.

A few months later, Lopez announced her engagement in an interview with Diane Sawyer in November 2002. Affleck had proposed with a custom-made Harry Winston 6-carat pink diamond ring with small white diamonds on the side. 

Soon after that, 'Bennifer' became a star couple in Hollywood. With paparazzi following them and tabloids writing about them, the duo was all over the place. 

While some tabloids were supporting the couple, there were some as well, which left no stones unturned when scrutinizing them.  

The couple was set to marry in September 2003 in Santa Barbara, but they postponed the date a day before they were supposed to get married. They took this hard U-turn because of excessive media attention.

After the delay was in order, the wedding never happened and they ended their engagement in January 2004. Lopez married Marc Anthony in June 2004 and had twins with him: Max and Emme. Lopez and Anthony were together until 2014.

Affleck was married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, and they share three children: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
