TikTok star Caleb Finn is often referred to as the 'King of Transitions' on the video-sharing platform. Throughout the years, he has amassed over 12.7 million followers and half a billion likes.

Finn is one of TikTok's most popular influencers and a face known to millions all around the globe. But he wasn't always a content creator and before he started pursuing influence as his career, he used to work as a teacher.

Here is the story of how Finn turned from a school teacher to the Transition King.

Pre-School Teacher To King of Transitions

Before finding fame as a TikTok star, Finn used to work as a preschool teacher in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. He started posting on TikTok in 2018 as a way to pass the time.

However, Finn amassed a massive following in a short time and began being recognized by people. It became a problem for his job as kids started flocking towards him. Ultimately, it was his large online presence that got him fired.

It became sort of like a safety issue for the kids, because there was kids coming in from out of the school to try and find me. In the end, it was just basically just like, ‘all right, you need to leave.’

After that, Finn began devoting more time to creating content across multiple categories and had his slick video editing skills that earned him his moniker.

A 15-second video to Bebe Rexha's 2015 song 'I'm Gonna Show You Crazy,' which saw him recreating a scene from Stanley Kubrick's classic The Shining blew up on the platform.

Finn's account, which initially had 350,000 followers, shot to over a million followers in less than a week.

Caleb Finn On His Transition King Title

Finn's title of Transition King came from his eye-catching smooth transitions along with his camera and editing tricks. It was also those transitions that helped his account grow so much.

While most would look at the title appreciatively, Finn himself has revealed that he doesn't like it. In an Ask Me Anything video he did back in July 2019, he answered why he didn't like it.

I hate it. I hate that title so much. I don’t like being “the king of transitions” because it puts everyone else down… I feel so bad because so many of my friends tried transitions and they immediately just [get put down by the comment section]. I feel so bad about it.

Finn and Lil Soup have been in a relationship since November 2019, but they only went public with it in October of last year.
