Becca Kufrin’s Boyfriend Thomas Jacobs Once Jokingly Proposed Her with a Paper Clip Ring

Bachelor in Paradise alums Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs have both shared they are ready to be engaged.

Kufrin revealed a proposal was on the horizon while talking to Michelle Young on a May episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast.

“Yes, we’ve talked about a ring and Thomas proposing. It’s actually something we’ve talked about for quite a while now,” she said. “So yes, it’s definitely on the horizon.”

Kufrin also shared Jacobs had previously jokingly proposed with a paper clip ring. She also added that she would have said yes to the proposal if not for the clip ring cutting her finger all the time.

Similarly, Jacobs had also discussed his plans for getting engaged during an April 2022 appearance on Click Bait with Bachelor Nation podcast.

Jacobs said he was working on a plan and knew some things Kufrin would want for the proposal, including a large elongated cushion diamond.

Both Jacobs and Kufrin have expressed they want to get engaged with no grand spectacles.

Kufrin, who already has had two public engagements in the past — with Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Garrett Yrigoyen — wants her third engagement to be quiet and intimate. She added Jacobs also knew about it.

“I’m at a point where I know that I want to spend my life with him, but I don’t need anything big, extravagant, or public in any way,” she said.

“I just want it to be us. I didn’t even really need to tell him that. He just knew from what we’ve talked about.”

Jacobs also revealed that while he wasn’t done planning the proposal, he was sure it was going to be small and intimate. “I want this to be a special moment just for us. We want to be able to enjoy that moment the way we want to.”

Kufrin and Jacobs met on the set of the seventh season of Bachelor in Paradise in 2021. Jacobs joined the show on its second episode, while Kufrin made her debut a week later.

The pair eventually started dating but split during the show’s finale after Kufrin revealed she had doubts about his sincerity.

“I feel like you’re so good at being supportive and positive and surprising me in all the best ways, but I feel like sometimes it’s too good to be true and that scares me,” she said.

“I’ve been here twice now before, and I couldn’t leave here and feel OK about leaving with somebody that I don’t 100 percent fully know.”

Not long after their break up, the two started dating off the camera once again. Speaking of their short split, Jacobs said it needed to happen for them to realize their relationship was worth fighting for.

Since then, Jacobs and Kufrin have both expressed their love for each other on multiple occasions. They also frequently post about each other on their social media.
