Barbra Streisand has one of the longest marriages in the entertainment industry.
She is currently married to her second husband, James Brolin, and the couple has been together for over 25 years. The two are head over heels for one another, but that was not always the case.
They did not fall for each other at first glance, following the stereotypes of "love at first sight." Instead, their first date was kind of chaotic, where the iconic singer roasted Brolin.

Streisand shared her love story with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show in August 2021. The singer met her second husband on July 1, 1996, when they were set on a blind date together.
However, the date did not go as planned since Streisand roasted Brolin and made fun of his hair. She confessed she had expected to see a boy "with a brown beard and brown, wavy hair, like a mountain man."
But Brolin was quite the opposite with "his hair cut off, no beard." When walking past him, she could not resist putting her hand through his hair and commenting, "Who [expletive] up your hair?"
Streisand "was so shy" when she went to his house that she played with his children until she had to sit down at the table. Regardless of the slightly embarrassing moment before, Brolin knew Streisand was the one.
However, Streisand took a few more dates to realize that Brolin was the one for her. At that time, they had a long-distance relationship with Brolin in Ireland to direct My Brother's War and the singer in the USA.
They communicated via phone, and then Streisand realized she loved her to-be husband. They moved in together in November 1996, and two years later, in 1998, they got married.

They exchanged vows on the occasion of the second anniversary of their first date at the singer's estate in Malibu, California. After all this time, love is not lost between the two.
Their secret to long marriage life is simple, keeping separate bank accounts between husband and wife, being honest, and communicating with each other.
Barbra Streisand and James Brolin's Previous Relationships
Before Brolin, Streisand had already been married once to Elliott Gould.
The singer tied the knot with her first husband on September 13, 1963, and was married till February 12, 1969. The pair also share one son named Jason Gould.
Streisand was linked with many people from the early 70s to the late 90s. Some of them are Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, Jon Peters, Peter Jennings, Liam Neeson, Jon Voight, and Peter Weller.
She allegedly had romantic relationships with high-profile people like Prince Charles, Bill Clinton, and Dodi Fayed. However, once she started dating Brolin, Streisand's romantic endeavors with other people came to an end.
Like his wife, Brolin was also married before the singer. His first wife was Jane Agree, and the couple tied the knot in 1966.
They share two kids named son Josh and daughter Jess. The two got a divorce soon after, and in the 80s, he got married to actress Jan Smithers and had a child named Molly.
