Who Is Anwar Hadid? Know About His Family, Relationship and More

Anwar Hadid is a fashion model, television personality, musician, and entrepreneur.

However, he is prominently known as the brother of supermodel sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid and the youngest child of Jordanian-Palestinian real estate developer Mohamed Hadid and former model Yolanda Hadid.

Not just that, Anwar also famously dated Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Dua Lipa for two years. He reportedly broke up with the singer earlier this month.

Who Is Anwar Hadid? Exploring His Career

Keeping his famous parents, siblings, and ex-girlfriend aside, Anwar has made a name for himself on his own quietly.

He initially started his career as a model in his late teenage years, following in the footsteps of big sisters Gigi and Bella.

According to Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, the 22-year-old artist is currently signed with IMG Worldwide — and has previously appeared in campaigns for Valentino and Topshop.

Besides modeling, Anwar is also a talented musician, whose style is best described as raw synthetic punk, reminiscent of bands from the late nineties rock scene.

Earlier in June this year, he dropped a single ‘4MyLove,’ and the music video for the song has amassed over 77,600 views on YouTube as of this writing.

Similarly, in 2019, he released an entire album, titled Bleach, that featured his close friend, musician Yoni Laham, and was executively produced by Bad Nonno.

The album further featured Jaden Smith and The Door’s guitarist Robby Krieger.

Anwar didn’t stop there. Besides his artistic endeavors, the entrepreneur inside him led to the establishment of the Los Angeles-based jewelry line Martyre, along with his musician friend, Yoni.

Anwar Hadid Is the Youngest of Hadid Siblings

Anwar’s family primarily consists of his parents Mohamed and Yolanda and his two sisters Gigi and Bella. 

The family expanded when Yolanda met and married Mohamed, an immigrant himself from Palestine, in 1994. After the marriage, they had their three children, whom they raised on a farm in Santa Barbara.

But Yolanda and Mohamed ended their marriage after six years in 2000.

The father of the family eventually became a real-estate tycoon, developing residential mansions and Ritz Carlton hotels around the world. He later turned his business into Hadid Design & Development Group.

Besides his two elder sisters, Anwar also has two elder half-sisters Alana and Marielle Hadid, whom the entrepreneur’s father welcomed from his first marriage to Mary Butler.

Anwar Hadid Dated Dua Lipa in the Past

Anwar started dating the 'New Rules' singer in the summer of 2019 — and they quickly became one of the favorite celebrity couples.

However, according to several online tabloids, the couple called off their relationship earlier this month.

According to Elle (via The Sun), they were not seen together in eight weeks probably due to their work schedules and split. The last time Anwar shared a picture of the two of them together was in November.

"The couple floated the idea about putting the brakes on their romance last month as traveling so much and being apart is proving tough. Their relationship is going through a crisis and appears to be on the rocks," the publication stated.

That said, Anwar or Lipa is yet to confirm the split.
