7 Little Johnstons became a hit series after it premiered on TLC in March 2015.

The show chronicles the daily life and challenges of the seven Johnstons, who have achondroplasia, a type of dwarfism that makes the limbs smaller than average.

Despite the challenges, the clan lives a normal life, with mom Amber Johnston and dad Trent Johnston setting examples — living without special conditioning, and handling their jobs even when being stars on TV.

Their down-to-earth personalities are major relatable factors as to why they have a huge fan following, who often wonder:

Where Do the 7 Little Johnstons Live?

The 7 Little Johnstons features Amber and Trent with their five kids — Jonah, Elizabeth, Anna, Alex, and Emma.

At the beginning of the show, the family lived on a farmhouse in Barnesville, Lamar County, Georgia.

In season 4, they moved from the city and briefly lived in a hotel, searching for their dream house with enough space for all their kids.

They finally settled for a 3,660 square feet house in Forsyth County, Georgia.

The house worth $486,000 with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, one pool, and a natural vicinity — touching the Towaliga River and boasting 10 acres of land — cost the famous family $100,000.

Trent's renovating skills played a huge role in turning the mold-infested house into their home.

To keep things as normal as possible, the parents opted for average-sized furniture rather than custom-made.

Amber shared she wanted to ready their children for the real world during an interview with ABC News in 2012. The reality star mentioned that her children wanted custom-made furniture, but they had to work against their will to strengthen them.

We strive to raise our children in the world that's not built for them.

The father-of-five expressed similar feelings while talking to People in August 2012. He stated their kids wouldn't have a world built for them once they walk out of their parent's house.

Amber and Trent are determined to make their children independent and make them move out of their house before they are adults.

As a result, their eldest kids Jonah and Anna are already on the move to leave their parent's nest, as chronicled in the new season of 7 Little Johnstons that aired on May 25, 2021.

Where Are the 7 Little Johnstons From?

Not all seven little Johnstons are the natives of Georgia.

Amber and Trent were born in America and grew up in the same country, which applies to their two biological kids Jonah and Elizabeth. But their three other kids are adopted from different countries.

The duo dreamt of having a big family from the very start. But giving birth became challenging and dangerous for Amber's health.

In her second pregnancy with Elizabeth, the mother-of-five suffered hip dislocation multiple times, and her circumference measured 51 inches, which was greater than her height of 48 inches.

To prevent potential health risks, the parents opted for adoption. They chose children suffering from achondroplasia in different countries, believing that they could give them a good life.

They first adopted Anna from Siberia, Russia. Thereon, they welcomed Alex from South Korea and finally an abandoned Emma from China.

How Old Are the Johnstons?

The patriarch, born Joseph Brent Johnston, is 45 years old while his wife Amber is 42 years old. She was born on March 10, 1979.

As for their five kids, they do not bear a huge age gap.

The eldest among them, Jonah, born December 1, 1999, will turn 22 in 2021. The second eldest is their adopted daughter, Anna. Born on May 7, 2000, Anna is 21 years old.
