Netflix’s space adventure series Lost In Space has been nominated for the “Outstanding Special Visual Effects” in the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards 2020. The nomination was announced on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

According to Emmys, the Lost In Space Season 2’s final episode titled ‘Ninety-Seven’ was listed for the nomination.

The series’ special visual effects department was led by senior visual effects supervisor Jabbar Raisani and visual effects producer Terron Pratt.

The other names associated in the special visual effects department as a visual effects supervisor included Marion Spates, Niklas Jacobson, Andrew Walker, and Juri Stanossek.

In addition to Lost In Space, Emmy Awards 2020 has also nominated four other TV shows in the “Outstanding Special Visual Effects” category. The other four nominated TV shows are Stranger Things ('Chapter Eight: The Battle Of Starcourt’), The Mandalorian ('Chapter 2: The Child’), Watchmen (‘See How They Fly’), and Westworld ('Crisis Theory’).

The winners will be announced by the ‘Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ during the Emmy Awards ceremony on September 20, 2020.

The award ceremony will broadcast on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). American television host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel is to return for the third time to host the television awards night.

Lost In Space is Netflix’s space adventure sci-fi series that features the narrative of the experience faced by the space-colonist human family, The Robinsons, after they leave the earth in search of the new favorable living world named Alpha Centauri.

The first season of the series was released on April 13, 2018, whereas the second season was released on December 24, 2019. The third and final is announced to get released in the year 2021.

The cast of Lost In Space includes Maxwell Jenkins, Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Parker Posey, Ignacio Serricchio, Taylor Russell, Brian Steele, and Mina Sundwall among others.
