Lauren Daigle Isn't Going To Lift The Veil On Her Love Life Just Yet
With Grammy-award winning singer Lauren Daigle churning out one hit gospel number after another, fans have become increasingly curious to know more about the 'real-life Lauren' beneath the superstar. Owing to her growing popularity and charming good looks, it's natural for people to be interested in the gospel singer's relationship status.
But much to their disappointment, the You Say singer isn't going to reveal her love life, at least not yet.
Lauren Wants People to Find Out For Themselves If She’s Single or Not
In 2016, the record-breaking artiste appeared backstage during Dove Awards to talk about her music and answer some of the press's burning questions, including inquiries on her romantic life. During the backstage press conference, a woman points out that several fans are aching to find if their beloved contemporary Christian songwriter is single or in a relationship. The gospel singer merely shrugged the question off without even giving a hint of a clue. She said:
“I’m not answering that question, don’t put me under the gun like that, maybe or maybe not I guess you just have to find out one day.”
The American singer's Instagram account is replete with posts on her daily life including updates on the musician's present and upcoming projects. But there are no posts that indicate the singer having a boyfriend or a special someone in her life.
Perhaps, in due course, we will be found. But until then, it's better to simply enjoy her music and try not to pry.
The Singer Bagged Two Grammy Awards in 2019
Lauren has been dominating the Billboard Christian charts. Her songs “How Can It Be,” “Look Up Child,” “Behold,” and “You Say” were massive hits, securing top ranks on the Billboard 200. She was nominated for a Grammy Awards in 2016 for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.

The singer also became the first artist to reach number one on five Christian charts simultaneously (album, airplay, songs, streaming songs, and digital song sales).
Finally, in 2019, she took home two Grammys for “You Say” and “Look Up Child” for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song and Best Album category respectively.
Lauren Faced Harsh Criticisms For Her Stance On Homosexuality
As a devout Christian, the young music sensation is often looked up to by her community members to set an example and continue to spread the word of god. But at times, as the singer-songwriter found out, being a public figure can attract a lot of bad publicity.
The award-winning singer faced criticism when she appeared as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in late October of 2018. Many of Daigle's conservative religious fans lashed out since the show’s host, Ellen, is an openly gay woman.
Being the first Contemporary Christian Musician (CCM) to ever appear on Ellen, Daigle might have raised a few eyebrows, but she doesn't think she did anything to hurt anybody's sentiments. As People.com reports, the CCM defended her decision, saying.
"I think the second we start drawing lines around which people are able to be approached and which aren’t, we’ve already completely missed the heart of God."
Furthermore, while appearing as a guest in The Domenick Nati Show on iHeart radio, she was again asked to weigh in on the Ellen show controversy. When the host inquired about her stance on homosexuality, she refrained from giving a concrete answer.
"I can’t say one way or the other. I’m not God. So when people ask questions like that that’s what my go to is. I just say read the Bible and find out for yourself. And when you find out let me know, because I’m learning too."
Moreover, Lauren said she felt sad for the bad press she and Ellen got. She said that the hose was kind and joyful, and it was sad to see people [conservative Christians] not realizing that.
