Heather Unruh’s New Job: Freelancer

After abruptly quitting at channel 5 (WCVB-TV) on 14 October 2016, Heather reignited her career as a freelancer based in Boston, Massachusetts in January 2017.

She freelances her work as a  journalist, writer, Documentary Filmmaker, and Public Speaker.

Heather is continuing on her humanitarian works including advocating for the awareness of lung cancer, as well as participating in its education and research.

For her contributions, Heather has received multiple awards from the American Cancer Society and Uniting Against Lung Cancer.

On personal notes, she celebrated her mother being cancer free for six years in 2014.

On 8 November 2017, Heather held a press conference to discuss how the House of Cards actor allegedly assaulted her son in July 2016. Her son, Will Little was only 18 years old at that time.

However, it came as no surprise when she revealed the details as she had been hinting about the incident on her Twitter account for weeks before she finally opened up to the public.

After the Weinstein allegations on 8 October 2017, she had been openly advocating against sexual harassers, and during that period, she also mentioned Spacey stating that he had hurt her loved one.

She started the conference as she wiped away her tears and recollected her son’s experience of that day. She told that his son met Spacey at the Club restaurant named Nantucket, on the island, where the actor bought her son who was star-struck and straight, several drinks.

Spacey eventually reached into his son’s pants, and tried to seduce him to go to a ‘private party.’. Little went to the bathroom where a ‘concerned woman’ told him to get out of the restaurant.

Subsequently, Little ran to his grandmother’s home where he woke her sister up and broke down in tears as he told her about the incident.

Heather also directly addressed a message towards the accused actor stating that he should be ashamed of what he did to her son. She then went on to describe her son’s mentality on the night the alleged incident occurred,

“[He was a] star-struck, straight, 18-year-old young man, who had no idea that the famous actor was an alleged sexual predator or that he was about to become his next victim.”

Will was a strong young man, she said. Unfortunately, his meeting with Kevin Spacey left a traumatic experience.
