Fox Correspondent Gillian Turner and her entrepreneur husband Alex Kramer have certainly come a long way from their native in Africa to make a living in the States. The savvy reporter came to the U.S around 2012, right after graduating, and started working as a contributor for FOX News in the following years.

When the correspondent is not busy reporting the facts at Fox, she is busy vacationing to the 'Mother City' with her married-hubby, Alex Kramer.

Keep reading to explore more about Gillian's roots and personal life with her husband Alex.

Gillian Turner And Her Husband Embraces Afrikaan Roots

After rising to prominence in the news scene, many queries regarding the reporter's origin started popping up. The current Washington correspondent personally took to Twitter to address the questions and revealed that her father and his side of the family were all South African.

In a later tweet about a month later, the Fox News host revealed that her father's side of the family were all Capetonians (from Cape Town), to be specific.

While Gillian comes from Afrikaan roots, her husband Alex, too, is a Capetonian, who is the co-founder of Strika Entertainment—Africa's largest kids entertainment media company.

After successfully launching Strika's flagship product Supa Strikas in major TV channels such as Disney and Nickelodeon, and selling it to Naspers in 2010, the darling husband moved to the U.S as a Creative Executive in Professional Risk Management Services Inc. He is now working full time as the Vice President of his own company called Optoro

Turner Can't Get Enough Of Capetown

Even though the couple is busy with their respective calling, they do not let their work interfere with their roots. The popular TV personality's Instagram is either filled with pictures of the newsroom or from the dear homeland, Cape Town.

With so many pictures of the said African city, you’d think that Turner actually works in South Africa and not the U.S. But from what it looks like, the reporter goes on holiday to her hometown every chance she gets.

Gillian's social media suggests that her earliest home town visit was back in May 2018 when she visited Lions Head Moutain in Cape Town.

She immediately followed up her 2018 summer holiday with another holiday just a few months later, in January. This time, it was a visit to a Cape Town vineyard overlooking the mountains in the backdrop.

The Columbia University alumn definitely took her time in the January 2019 vacation, indulging in horseback riding in the crystal white Noordhoek beach of Cape Town.

Then, a few months later, in December, the 38-year-old newscaster's friends and family were involved, which transpired in some casual beach stroll with her dad and husband.

That December 2019 visit was the latest of Turner's vacation. If she hasn't visited Mother City in a while, it is only because of the current scenario. No matter how much the former The Hill columnist loves Capetown, it wouldn't be worth putting everyone at risk.
