Born on 21 September 1971, Anne-Marie Green graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in English and journalism. She started her career as CKVR-TV's reporter in Barrie and Rogers Cable News in Mississauga.

The 47-year-old journalist became a news anchor in CITY-TV in June 2001 and at the 24-hour cable news channel service, CablePulse 24. It was in October 2004 that Anne joined KYW-TV as a general assignment reporter.

She was also a co-anchor for Sunday morning newscasts with Ben Simoneau. Eventually, Anne was named the anchor for CBS Morning News in January 2013.

Anne makes appearances in many events and shares her opinions on what she witnesses in the event. She made an appearance in the 2018 NABJ Annual Convention & Career Fair and talked about her impressions of Detroit during the conference.

She talked about how Detroit was a legendary city and how people felt connected to its story as it rose and fell. She further added that listening to the stories of the people living in Detroit made her a bit proud for its comeback as a city.

Anna's husband, Algernon is a Hampton University graduate with a bachelors degree in Finance. He was a candidate in the election for State Representative in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2014 and an active board member of both Cedar Park Neighbors and the Baltimore Ave Business Association.

Anne and Algernong share a daughter named Ailey Lynn Allen, who was born in 2011 and celebrates the birthday on 5 March.

The prominent reporter relishes at the moment of raising her daughter; replying a tweet back in 2013; Anna stated that she always remembers the time her daughter was newly born and also added that she is always there for a Insomniacs and very small babies.
