Their re-marriage was aired on the television which made Gregg became famous over-night but now he is battling for his health against cancer.

His wedding with celebrity wife Nene again was the subject of a special seven-episode documentary called "I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding" that aired on the Bravo network. Gregg Leakes was born as Gregory Leon Leakes on August 18, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York City. He made his way down to Atlanta and amassed his wealth through his job in real estate dealings over the last two decades.

He is a self-taught businessman who rose to fame through his celebrity wife Nene Leakes.

Gregg Leakes met his love Nene in 1996, in Atlanta when she was a 28-year-old stripper in a club. Gregg was a man with five children and Nene also had a son from her ex-boyfriend.

The couple got married with a 10-carat diamond band along with a 15.2-carat engagement ring in front of 400 guests that included many celebrities.

It was a lavish affair of $1.8 million on June 22, 2013, at the InterContinental hotel in the tony Buckhead section of Atlanta. From his real estate business and TV appearances, Gregg Leakes has a net worth of about 4 million dollars.

Meet Gregg Leakes Children From Previous Relationship & Nene Leakes

Gregg Leakes is the father of five children from his previous relationship: twins Damien and Daryl, 38, Katrina, 31, Dexter 28, and Denton, 25.

And from Nene Leakes, he has a son 20-year-old Brentt. Gregg’s children from ex didn’t have a good relationship with Nene during their first marriage but now, things have changed and the step-children are on good terms with their 53-year-old step-mother.

Gregg’s Cancer Diagnosis Affecting His Health, Traumatizing Wife & Children

All fans and admirers were shocked when Nene Leakes posted about the cancer diagnosis of her husband with a photo of Gregg at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, in June 2018.

Gregg spent many weeks in hospital battling stage 3 colon cancer which made his wife, children, and friends hard to bear. Nene was busy with her works but said she could not focus on her work since her husband was in the hospital struggling for his health. She was seen praying and urging to fans to pray for Gregg on her social media.

And finally all the prayers from his wife, children and fans became worth when his surgery on November 2018, got success showing no evidence of cancer remains in Gregg’s body.

But his body is still at risk, however, chemotherapy can reduce that risk of cancer coming back by about half. We wish Gregg all good lucks so that he remains healthy always and forever.
