American actor Chris Colfer chose an unconventional way of coming out. Rather than reading out choreographed lines in a somber mood, he let his actions do the talking. Introducing his love interest (boyfriend in his case) to the world and sharing his beautiful dating life, Chris' coming out story makes you believe that love is love--whether that be with same-sex or opposite!

Chris Colfer accumulated fame after his portrayal of Kurt Hummel on the hugely celebrated television musical Glee that ran from 2009 to 2015. Moreover, his bio also has another facet, he is a published author, and that too a New York Times bestseller.

Chris Colfer Had His Grandmother's Support In His Acting & Writing Passion

Born on 27 May 1990, Christopher Paul Colfer carried a passion for writing and acting at a very early age and often credits his grandmother who encouraged him in elementary school when he first tried to write a fairytale novel that would later become The Land of Stories.

He got involved with community theater in his first show, West Side Story and soon appeared in the production of The Sound of Music as Kurt von Trapp. It was at the age of 18 when Chris starred in Russel Fish: The Sausage and Eggs Incident as Russel Fish and got his first TV role in 2009 on Fox’s Glee.

The actor, aged 28, landed his big break with the character of Kurt Hummel on Glee as he plays a gay countertenor who is frequently bullied in school for being gay, so participates in the unpopular Glee Club.

Chris then signed a book deal in June 2011 with Little, Brown, and Company and wrote two novels for children, The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell and The Land of Stories: The Enchantress Returns.

Chris and his gay boyfriend have been dating since they were first spotted together at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in January 2013 and had been attending different other events together.

They were even seen having a lunch date on the fourth of July in 2013 embracing coordinated patriotic outfits. Now that’s cute.

Chris has even opened up about how he views the concept of getting married to his long-term boyfriend. He confessed that the older he got, the more he wanted to get married and while Chris doesn’t expect a wedding ring from his boyfriend any soon, he does want to wear a promise ring.

Well, whatever it is that Chris wants, we hope that he and his gay boyfriend keep sailing the ship of their beautiful love story.
