Saweetie and Quavo have formally ended their relationship. The rappers, who had been dating since 2018, reportedly broke up with Saweetie announcing "I'm single" on Twitter on March 19, 2021.

Their Series of Post Break-up Tweets

Just days after fans noticed the lovebirds had unfollowed each other on Instagram, the Best Friend rapper publicly called out her ex-boyfriend for "betrayal and hurt" behind the curtains and spreading a "false narrative" that diminished her reputation.

In the tweet, she seemingly addressed Quavo's infidelity issues. Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, aka Saweetie, wrote, "Presents don't band-aid scars, and the love isn't real when the intimacy is given to other women."

The 27-year-old also stated that despite the apparent dishonesty, she was optimistic about the future.

The Migos star, Quavo, did not take long to respond to the tweets without directly naming his ex-girlfriend. He shared two tweets to address his side of the story expressing his disappointment over dragging personal issues on the public platform.

"I know you want to make this into a show so I’ll play my part just this one time," he tweeted on March 19, 2021. "I don’t normally put my business out there, especially my personal life. I feel the need to address this so there are no false narratives."

Quavo, 29, continued, "I had love for you and disappointed you did all that. You are not the woman I thought you were. I wish you nothing but the best." Saweetie then retweeted it and simply wrote, "Take care."

Quavo and Saweetie Started Dating in 2018

The two started dating in 2018 when he slipped into her Instagram DMs. In a GQ feature dated July 2020, the Flip the Switch rap artist, Quavo, revealed he first saw Saweetie on the exploration page and did his research before messaging her. "How is she going to call herself Icy (her song) and don't talk to me?" he added.

Then, he dropped a snowflake emoji in her DMs, to which she replied with a "stir-fry back"—a nod to one of Migos' most popular songs. Eventually, they graduated to the long phone calls that lasted several hours. This went on for several months.

Talking about their first actual date, Quavo had planned an entire day for themselves in his hometown, Atlanta. For food, they ate crab cakes at Stoney River, one of his favorite steak houses, where he nearly choked to death while eating. “I'm still getting to know him, so I feel awkward because he's, like, choking at the table,” Saweetie recalled.

Quavo later drove his then-girlfriend to the Quality Control Music HQ to give her a studio tour. Their first date night ended at Magic City, the iconic strip club in Atlanta.

A few months before the break-up news, Saweetie opened up about having a crush on Quavo before he knew her. In a January 2021 interview with People, the ICY GRL singer revealed she always thought he was "sexy" and liked his voice.
