Brian Kleinschmidt is a master of different skills—home designing, entrepreneurship, and acting. But, as a matter of fact, the American TV personality is a master in one more thing–parenting his daughter, Jade.

However, Brian does not have any biological children. Considering that, how did he end up being a father? Did he adopt his daughter, Jade?

Well, keep on reading to know the full story and learn about his personal life!

Brian Kleinschmidt Married High-School Crush

Brian, who is at the age of 38, is a married man. He tied the knots with his high school crush, Mika McGee.

The duo first met each other at their high school’s chorus, and the home designing master fell in love with Mika there and then.

But, as he was shy at the time, he fell short of confidence to confront his love to her. Nonetheless, he did gather courage and requested his friend, on his behalf, to go and ask the girl of his dream to the dance—sadly, she said no.

After that, the timid one-sided lover never had enough courage to ask her again, and when they graduated from high school, they became contactless.

However, as if fate had connected them, the now-married couple met again after a decade in 2011. During that time, Brian mustered enough confidence and finally confronted his feelings to her. This time, Mika didn’t deny him and happily said ‘Yes.’

On October 10, 2015, the two high schoolers shared the wedding vows and promised to share every problem and never leave each other. From then to till now, it seems that they have kept up their promises quite well.

Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt have even co-founded a business company named Dirt 2 Design.

Brian And Mika Kleinschmidt Parent 11-Year-Old Daughter

Brian And Mika Kleinschmidt are not only a married couple and business partners but also parents of an 11-year-old daughter, Jade. However, Brian is not Jade's biological father.

The 100 Day Dream Home reality star’s now-wife, Mika, was in a relationship before tying knots with Brian. With her partner, Mika got blessed with a daughter, whom she later named Jade.

Well, despite not being his biological daughter, Brian loves Jade with all his heart. Moreover, he frequently shares pictures of himself alongside his step-daughter and wife through his Instagram handle.

On February 26, 2020, the former Shark Tank entrepreneur wished his step-daughter on her 11th birthday. In the caption, he first mentioned that Jade was the best thing that ever happened to him and then stated that he was honored to be her 'Bonus Dad.'

Happy Birthday to the best thing that has EVER happened to me! Thank you for 11 years of incredible memories... I am honored to be your “Bonus Dad.” I love you more than anything Jade.

Brian Kleinschmidt Was Married to Ericka Dunlap

Before fate reconnected Brian with his high school crush, the Shark Tank star was a lawfully wedded husband. He was married to Ericka Dunlap — former Miss Florida and Miss America 2004 — with whom he walked the aisle in around 2007.

Two years after their marriage, in 2009, the now-former couple took part in the 15th season of the hit TV show, The Amazing Race, as the show’s first interracial married team. In it, both of them went through tough situations to come out on top of other teams, but sadly, they only managed to be in third place.

Following the end of the reality TV show, everything seemed fine between Brian and Ericka. But, in mid-2011, the situation changed: they decided to split. Due to their sudden separation, people started gossiping if the show’s result had to do anything with it. However, at that time, neither Brian nor Ericka gave any statements.

Nonetheless, while talking to Herald-Tribune on August 18, 2014, Brian revealed the reason behind their divorce. He stated that Ericka was going through personal problems and wanted to take a break from everything.

She had some personal stuff going on and she wanted to take a break from everything. Things work out the way they’re supposed to.
