Ruff Ryders Motorcycle Club Pay Tribute to DMX outside Hospital
The Ruff Ryders motorcycle club, developed by DMX’s music label back in the early 2000s and now boasts hundreds of members, gathered outside White Plains Hospital to show support for DMX.
The bikers rolled in wearing their RR logo gears, blasting DMX’s anthem and doing wheelies in front of the hospital. They even carried signs that expressed well wishes for the rapper.
DMX’S ex-wife, Tashera Simmons, too, shared the event on her Instagram story. In the story, she wrote she was touched by all the love for her ex-husband.
Who Are the Ruff Ryders?
The Ruff Ryders first came onto the scene back in the late ‘90s, in DMX’s official music video for the “Where The Hood At?” dedicated just for them.
In the video, DMX featured many motorcycles and motorcycle stunts and gave them much visibility.
Ruff Ryders' founders were initially managers of the likes of DMX and other rappers. After DMX’s success, the management company started their label imprint through Interscope Records that would sign other famous rappers like Eve, the L.O.X. trio comprising Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch.
They branched out to become a wide-encompassing entertainment launching Ruff Ryders Lifestyles, Ruff Ryders Films, Powerhouse Recording Studios, RR Rescue, and NatPro, the promotional company.
DMX’S Ruff Ryders label is regarded highly in the hip hop community. The brand and the logo for Ruff Ryders have become iconic entities in the world of hip hop.
