Tony Dow, famous through his role as Wally Cleaver in Leave It to Beaver alongside Jerry Mathers, has had a quiet life since the turn of the century. He has kept low and led a peaceful family life.

The actor's son, Christopher Dow, too, seems to follow his lead. He isn't a big presence on the internet.

Christopher leads a quiet life but appears here and there with his father on his socials.

Tony Dow's Personal Life

Tony has been married twice in his life. His first wife was Carol Marie Theresa Marlow, with whom he tied the knot on June 14, 1969.

While they were together, they had Christopher T. Dow, their only son. He joined the family on March 26, 1973.

Tony and Carol's marriage could only last 11 years. They filed for divorce in 1978 and got it finalized on March 10, 1980.

Within months of his divorce from his first wife, he married his second wife, Lauren Shulkind.

Tony had met Lauren in late 1978 in Kansas City. She was working in an advertisement for a McDonald's commercial.

Lauren was looking for an "all-American guy" and found Tony perfect for the job.

So, he got the job. And she got him. "I cast him in my life," Lauren told the Reuters in October 2010.

They tied the knot on June 16, 1980. His IMDb notes that they have one child. However, no further detail is provided regarding that.

Lauren is a mosaic artist, and it seemed like she encouraged him to pursue his childhood hobby in arts and sculpture.

Tony had dabbled in pastels and oil paints when he was young. But as his acting career took off, he had no time to pursue those.

After he turned 60, he resumed his hobbies. He began sculpting. The income wasn't as much as he made in show business, but it was more fulfilling personally.

Tony Dow's Son Christopher Dow

Tony has never been one to share too much about his personal life. He has kept his wife and family a relative secret over the years he has been in the spotlight.

And it seems like his son Christopher chooses to do the same.

He had given a shot at acting in 1985, appearing in a spinoff of the original Leave It to Beaver, The New Leave It to Beaver.

Christopher has had three appearances on the show. The first came in 1985, where he played McGregor.

Then in 1988, he portrayed a 1963 version of his father's character, Wally Cleaver. And again, he played a 16-year-old Wally in 1989.

After this, he left acting for good and has made no headlines since, except in 1991.

Christopher lost his mother's 1971 Porsche on September 23, 1991. He left the car in the ignition and forgot to put the top down near Taft High School in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles.

18 at the time, he got his revenge on the thieves the next day. He found a 16-year-old kid pushing the Porsche on the street.

Instead of dealing with the situation calmly, he put the kid in a headlock and looked after him until police arrived at the scene.

Tony thought what his son did was "really cool" and even told the LA Times that he or his on-screen character might have acted differently.

Christopher now rarely appears with his father. But he spends time with him and his daughter Tyla regularly.
