Country music legend Sheryl Crow became a mother to two sons at 48.

In 2007, she adopted her eldest child, son Wyatt, shortly after his birth.

Three years later, the songstress completed her family, adopting another son whom she named Levi.

During an episode of Making Space with Hoda Kotb podcast (via People,) Crow opened up about motherhood.

She shared that she always knew she wanted kids. And when her mother reminded her she didn’t need to be married to have kids, she started her family.

The singer added she was lucky enough to experience motherhood when she was ready.

“I had the gift of getting a lot of things out of my system before I got my sons. So there wasn’t anything that I felt like I was missing,” she explained.

Sheryl Crow on Raising Her Sons

As a single mother, Crow acknowledged that raising her kids alone could be tough.

She told People in 2017 that her priorities changed when she adopted them and shared that consistency was the most important thing.

But despite the challenges, she wouldn’t have it any other way.

The songstress didn’t want to spend any more nights away from home, but now that her sons were older, they loved joining their mom on tour.

Her sons went everywhere she went and enjoyed it as well.

And according to the singer, they are likely to follow in her footsteps.

She noted they were really into music and were taking piano lessons. They even helped her write lyrics for her music.

Is Sheryl Crow Married?

Most people might be confused into thinking she has a husband because of her sons.

But the singer is not married, although she came close to marrying once.

In October 2003, she met the famed cyclist Lance Armstrong at a charity event.

Crow and Armstrong started dating shortly after Armstrong divorced his spouse and mother of his three children, Kristin Richard.

By September 2005, the couple were engaged and shared a Ranch in Austin.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be as they split in February 2006.

After the separation, the cyclist disclosed they broke up because Crow wanted children, but he was not ready.

Sheryl Crow’s Star-Studded Love Life

Before Armstrong, the country singer had dated many luminaries, including the legendary musician Eric Clapton, who was 17 years senior. They started dating in the late 90s.

Rumor has it that Clapton cheated on the songstress. But the pair remained good friends even after their split.

They collaborated on her 2019 album Threads.

After that, Crow began dating actor Owen Wilson after meeting him on the set of The Minus Man

The two dated for two years and even attended events like the Vanity Fair Oscar party together.

Their relationship eventually fizzled out, with Crow admitting that her song ‘Safe and Sound’ was dedicated to him.

In early 2003, the ‘Soak up the Sun’ singer dated The Good Wife star Josh Charles for a few months. However, by April, reports surfaced that they had called it quits.
