Is Sergio Mayer Mori Gay? Mori’s Ex Partner Speaks on His Sexuality

Sergio Mayer Mori, who is presently dating his girlfriend Raquel Chaves, has often found himself surrounded by gay rumors.

However, the rumors are not true, or so it seems, as it was previously denied by the singer and his ex-partner, Natalia Subtil.

Speaking with TV Notas in 2017, Subtil, a Brazilian actress, revealed that she also thought he was bisexual when she first came across him.

“In fact, when I met him, I thought he was bisexual,” she stated.

She continued to share, “When I started dating him, a gay friend asked me what I was doing with him because [according to the friend] Sergio was gay, but I told him ‘not at all.’”

During the interview, the singer’s ex-girlfriend, with whom he shares a daughter, further said her friend once confessed to her that his queer friend was with Mori sometime ago.

But the actress never believed in the rumors or her friend; however, she had doubts. Due to that, she often teased him, telling him that he would reveal his sexuality to her at one point in his life.

Sometime after her October 2017 interview with TV Notas, the singer was asked to address the rumors and the statement made by Subtil at a program.

He particularly didn’t confirm or deny the rumors but stated that he responded to his ex’s curiousness as a joke.

Mori also said he believed the truth remained true at any age, and people could feel pressure because of the rumors even though they said it does not affect them.

Sergio Mayer Mori and Natalia Subtil Had a Daughter

While the rumors of the singer being gay swirled around the internet, the former couple welcomed their first child, daughter Mila Mayer Subtil, together in late 2016.

However, they were in an on-and-off relationship with each other since before 2016. It is unclear when and how Mori and Subtil first started their relationship.

A few months after giving birth to their baby, Mori spoke with Televisa Espectaculos and stated that he would never function his family with the actress.

“I will take care of my baby. My relationship with [the baby] will be one hundred percent. I just wanted to make that clear. Because this is not the baby’s fault,” he added, saying he was happy to raise the baby on his own.

The actress, therefore, was never married to Mori or became his wife at any point. After the split, they have been co-parenting their daughter.

Another fact that goes against Mori’s gay rumors is him dating a girlfriend at present.

As stated earlier, he is presently in a happy relationship with model and Ibtsharm influencer Chaves. However, it is unclear when and how he began dating his girlfriend. But the two are often spotted together lately.

For instance, Chaves posted a series of pictures snapped at Barcelona on her Instagram handle on January 2, 2022.

One of the pictures was PDA-filled as they were close to kissing each other on an empty street.
