Saweetie dismissed all speculations of her reconciliation with her ex-boyfriend Quavious Keyate Marshall, known professionally as Quavo

On August 23, 2021, Hollywood Life reported that she and Quavo had been “quietly spending time together in New York.”

The report was based on a music insider who claimed Quavo had missed the 'Icy Girl' rapper since their break up. Reportedly, he had been asking to see her, and the duo hung out in NY since they were there at the same time.

As soon as the report started making rounds on the internet, fans and followers wondered if the former couple had reconciled and gotten back together.

However, Saweetie came forward to clarify where she stood with her former partner. The 28-year-old took to Twitter to state the story of their reconciliation was nothing but a lie. Offering a succinct response, she noted the report was an example of a Pinocchio article.

Then, hinting at her recent endorsement deal with McDonald's, she mentioned, "Anyways, back to this #saweetiemeal."

The Santa Clara native became the first female musician to collaborate with McDonald's for its celebrity menu package in August 2021.

Her celebrity menu included a time-limited Big Mac, medium fries, four-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium Sprite, Tangy BBQ Sauce, and a Saweetie 'N Sour sauce.

Saweetie's update on her McDonald's collaboration and reconciliation rumors came weeks after Dime Racks revealed having a secret hook-up with Quavo. The revelation provided a sort of proof of the infidelity that ended his relationship with Saweetie.

Reason Behind Saweetie and Quavo's Split

Saweetie and Quavo started their relationship in 2018, shortly after the latter slipped into her Instagram DMs. They continued dating for almost three years.

Then, in March 2021, the couple unexpectedly unfollowed one another on their socials. Their action spurred speculations about their split and conversations on the matter.

Addressing the rumor, Saweetie broke her silence through a Twitter post on March 19, 2021. She affirmed her split with Quavo, announcing, "I'm single."

But the news of the breakup wasn't what surprised everyone. Instead, it was Saweetie's hint at Quavo's infidelity, stating she had endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes.

She also added, "Presents don't band-aid scars, and the love isn't real when the intimacy is given to other women." Moments after Saweetie's surprising revelation, Quavo responded to the tweets without naming her.

He stated he didn't want to put his personal life on display but quipped, "I know you want to make this into a show so I’ll play my part just this one time."

The 30-year-old elaborated that there were no false narratives. Then through a second tweet, Quavo wrote he was disappointed with Saweetie. The Georgia native added, " You are not the woman I thought you were. I wish you nothing but the best."

Without intensifying the drama further, Saweetie retweeted his post and penned, "Take care."
