Sam Worthington and his model wife Lara Worthington have been married for seven years.

Earlier in May, it was reported that the couple sold their Sunset Strip home after relocating to their native homeland.

The couple had bought their Los Angeles mansion in 2018 for $10.9million. When they were selling it, they initially asked for $12.57 million, but eventually, settled for $10.6 million.

According to MSN, the buyer was Neil Jacobson, the CEO of LA-based Hallwood Media and former president of Geffen Records. 

Lara and Sam were based in the U.S. with their family for years but moved back to their native Australia for an 'extended stay' in January. 

After their relocation, the actress spoke candidly about her life with her husband and kids during an interview with The Daily Telegraph, as reported by Daily Mail.

The 33-year-old model said that she was prioritizing her family and kids. "At this stage of my life, with my sons as the total priority, I'm focused on wellbeing, motherhood, and taking care of my family," she said. 

The couple had two sons: five-year-old Rocket, four-year-old Racer, when they gave birth to their third son, River. He was born during the pandemic, and Lara was nearly forced to give birth alone. But luckily, things panned out, and Sam made it in time.

The mother of three isn't done having kids, though. The doting mother of three iterated she would have more kids. 

It’s like my body was meant to have kids, and maybe that’s why I’ve had so many and would happily have more. 

In November 2019, the model confirmed to Vogue Australia that she was pregnant. She expressed her happiness and excitement at having a third boy and added that a new family member always brought joy and happiness. 

The couple, who is notoriously private, are fiercely protective of their sons. They were once caught in an altercation with the paparazzi in Sydney, and it's not the first time they had to go up against the paparazzi after they took a picture of the couple's son without permission.

"Both Sam and I understand it is a by-product of our profession, but taking photos of my son without my consent is unacceptable," she said.

Lara, who was previously engaged to former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke, found true love in Sam when they started dating in 2013.

A year later, the couple tied the knot in secret while Lara was six months pregnant with their first child. 

Meanwhile, the Avatar actor was in a long-term relationship with his former girlfriend Natalie Marks before settling down with Lara. 

The couple had an intimate ceremony with less than ten people on their big day.

The model described her husband as an anchor whose calm demeanor made her feel secure. She shared that she did not have to put up an act with him.

The model's mum added that she felt grateful to have met him and commended him for being a good dad.
