Inside Robbie Amell’s Relationship with Wife Italia Ricci

Robbie Amell, a celebrated Canadian actor and producer, has been together with his wife, Italia Ricci, since July 2008.

And over the years, the two have achieved everything a pair dreams of in their relationship — engagement, a lavish wedding, and an adorable child.

As far as one knows, neither Amell nor Ricci has ever discussed their first meeting. Because of that, it is unknown how their relationship started.

But various reports state that their passion for acting brought them together.

For instance, they both had roles in the American Pie Presents Beta House in 2007. Working on the project together allegedly helped them to know each other and subsequently start dating.

Around that time, Amell played the role of Jimmy Madigan in Nickelodeon's True Jackson, VP, and Ricci also played a small part in the series.

Bustle reported how Amell had once said that he had a crush on "a Canadian actress, Italia Ricci." Looks like the feelings took a perfect manifestation.

Robbie Amell's Engagement and Wedding Details

Moving on from how and when they met theories, the pair eventually began dating, and in August 2014, they even got engaged.

On August 20, the actor shared a picture, featuring his wife, and revealed that he was engaged to her.

"She said yes!!!... I think. I can't really be sure. I'm going marry my best friend. @italiaricci," he captioned the picture of the couple kissing each other.

Close to two years later, in January 2016, Ricci, an actress known for playing Emily Rhodes in Designated Survivor, broke the news that she and the Pretty Little Liars star were planning to get married that year.

She revealed it while speaking with ET Online.

Rightly so, they walked down the aisle in October in Los Angeles in the presence of close friends and family members

 Among the 180 guests at the traditional Italian ceremony, a few included actors Victor Garber, Carlos PenaVega, and Alexa PenaVega.

"At first when we got engaged, I asked him if we could just go to Vegas and get married by Elvis, just because I didn’t want to deal with planning a wedding," Ricci told Us Weekly after the wedding.

On the big day, the bride wore a strapless James Clifford gown, Neil Lane diamonds, and Betsey Johnson shoes. And all of those things weighed 35 pounds together.

Robbie Amell and Italia Ricci’s Family Now

Amell and Ricci are currently managing a family of three. They were blessed with their first baby, a son named Robert Amell V, on September 12, 2019.

"Today we welcome Robert Amell V into the world but also find out that being triple extra pregnant increases your odds of birthing Gollum," Ricci wrote in her Instagram post, confirming the arrival of her son.

The family is usually seen together through the couple's social media handles.

For instance, recently, on March 18, 2022, the actress shared a picture of the family, where all three of them were walking around the street.
