Rhea Perlman and her husband of 30 years, Danny DeVito, called it quit on their marriage a decade ago. 

Not long after the separation was announced to the public, reports of infidelity on DeVito's part began making headlines front and center. 

Despite all of that, the couple is still keeping the institution of marriage intact. They refuse to get divorced.

Perlman and DeVito announced their separation for the first time in October 2012, three decades after their wedding and after four decades of being together. 

Soon after, an anonymous source with RadarOnline, who claimed to be a former crew member in one of his movies, flung cheating allegations at the veteran actor. 

Supposedly, in the early '90s, the actor used to romance a young blonde extra working on the same set.

They would frequently canoodle in the actor's limousine since the actor had made false promises of stardom to the young actress. 

"It was kind of pathetic because she was very young and beautiful and obviously just having sex with him in hopes that he'd make her a star," the insider alleged.

Rhea Perlman Was Allegedly Tired of Danny DeVito's Infidelity

Per the outlet's reports, Perlman was tired of her husband's infidelity and flirtatious behaviors and eventually "gave him the boot" after a decade of rocky relationships. 

"He may not appear to be a ladies' man, but Danny certainly gets a lot of female attention," a source close to the family told the outlet.

They further suggested that DeVito did not mind leveraging his celebrity status to "chat up young, aspiring women looking to make it in the industry."

The source did, however, state that Perlman and her husband were wonderful parents to their three children, and at one time, they were a "solid family."

Not long after, the former couple's spokesperson came forward to clear the air. 

"Whatever you may read is a fabrication. Nobody knows the real reason because they have not shared it with anyone," the representative said, as per New York Daily News. 

"It's extremely sad," the rep noted as they affirmed that no outside love interest was involved in the couple's unfortunate separation. 

Rhea Perlman & Danny DeVito Won't Get a Divorce

However, as late as 2019, the actress was adamant that she wasn't going to end her wedding in a divorce. 

"I don't know why it's difficult for other people, but Danny and I have always loved each other and we have three amazing children together," Perlman said during an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy.

She continued, "You know, we were together for 40 years. 40 years is a long time, you might have to do something else!"

Perlman shared that her relationship with her husband of 30 years was much better since the separation because "all the tense stuff" was gone. 

Perlman and DeVito began dating in 1971, and their wedding was in January 1982. The pair have three children together: Lucy, Grace, and Jacob, all of whom are adults now.
