Ray J and his estranged wife Princess Love got married in August 2016.

The couple had an intimate yet fairytale-like wedding in the presence of 150 of their closest family members and friends at the Vibiana in Los Angeles.

"I just want her to have the time of her life and remember it as the best day in the world," the 'One Wish' singer whose dramatic relationship with his wife was later featured on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood said at that time.

He continued to tell People, "Even when I wasn't with her, I told my friends 'She the one, she the one.' It was just something about how I felt when she was around me." 

Adding to that, Love stated that Ray J was the only person she had ever been with that "I couldn't see myself without."

Ray J and Princess Love Had Troublesome Marriage

Fast forward to October 2021, and Ray J filed for divorce from his wife for the third time.

In the years they remained married, they welcomed two children: daughter Melody Love and son Epik Ray.

Cut to the chase — the reality star filed for divorce for the third time from his longtime partner in Los Angeles Superior Court.

As per TMZ, Ray J asked for joint legal and physical custody of their two kids in his divorce petition.

But the couple had a prenup, which explained why he checked the box to end the court's ability to award spousal support to either of them.

The document reportedly cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

Ray J's Estranged Wife Still Open to Reconciliation

In March 2022, Love expressed her willingness to rekindle her relationship with the famous singer.

The diva sat down with TMZ and stated she was still open to getting back with Ray J while admitting the decision was not just in her hands.

As per her accounts, it would take a commitment from her estranged husband and her for the situation to be normal.

The publication later explained her situation, saying, "Princess says she doesn't really know what she wants...but she says if Ray keeps calling for divorce she's going to let it happen."

The divorce, as of this writing, is yet to be finalized. The couple allegedly has been living separately.

Scandals Surrounding Princess Love and Ray J

There were definitely a few reasons as to why the marriage between Love and Ray J failed.

One of them was the infamous scandal that saw Ray J reportedly cheating on his wife. The singer was accused of getting a little close to another woman at Drake's birthday celebration in October 2019.

The Shade Room even posted a video of the Love & Hip Hop star speaking with a woman other than Love at the event. Their unverified breakdown of what went down made quite a story.

Similarly, in November 2019, Love claimed she would file for divorce after alleging Ray J left her and their daughter "stranded" in Las Vegas.
