Inside Meghan McCain’s Married Life with Husband Ben Domenech

Meghan McCain has been in the spotlight for years now. Most of her fame comes from being the daughter of late US Senator John McCain.

She is a vocal person in politics, especially conservative-leaning politics. She isn't, however, that vocal about her personal life.

McCain has a thriving personal life with her husband Ben Domenech and their young daughter.

Meghan McCain's Relationship with Husband Ben Domenech

McCain and Domenech started dating in 2016. Domenech worked in politics, so he did not have difficulty adjusting to her father, a decorated war hero, and senator.

Domenech first met John at McCain's brother's wedding. They got along well.

During his October 2017 appearance on The View, John said he thought his daughter's now husband was a "very fine man" and even more conservative than him.

McCain revealed she had dated men with liberal viewpoints before, but her father did not like them. Then came Domenech, and he fitted in perfectly.

A few weeks after this appearance, McCain announced they were engaged. On November 2, 2017, she confirmed the rumors about her engagement that started the previous night.

She had initially planned to keep it a secret. She even revealed how she wanted even to get married in secret.

But the news got out because "people talk sometimes." Further, she went on to reveal the circumstances of their engagement.

They decided to exchange rings at Mayo Clinic, where her father was getting his scans. The engagement was just a celebration of life and being alive for them.

Then came their wedding. On November 21, 2017, McCain, 33 at the time, married Domenech.

The ceremony was a western country wedding held at the family ranch in Sedona, Arizona.

McCain told People the entire ceremony was a fun affair, and she enjoyed getting drunk on whiskey and dancing with her husband.

However, the political commentator was a bit late to share snaps from the ceremony. It was only on November 27, 2017, that she uploaded a few adorable pictures from the wedding on Instagram.

"Our love is a country song," she wrote as the caption and mentioned their wedding date.

Meghan McCain's Baby Came Three Years Later

On September 28, 2020, McCain and her husband welcomed their daughter, Liberty Sage Domenech. She took to socials to pen a heartwarming post about new experiences of motherhood.

In the post, she gushed about being in complete awe of her baby and termed motherhood as "euphoria." McCain also said that having her daughter was the best thing she ever did.

The only regret she had was not doing it sooner with Domenech. She also thanked him for their little family and made her feel blessed.

McCain has been with Domenech for over seven years now. They celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary on November 21, 2021.

The former The View host uploaded a long captioned post on Instagram to mark the occasion. She thanked Domenech for their baby Liberty and his strength, humor, and kindness.

She declared there was no one she would rather be with and further expressed gratitude towards him for making their marriage an adventure.

Ending the post, she also gave a shout-out to people skeptical that their relationship would last over six months.
