62-year-old Lawrence Taylor, who spent his entire NFL professional football career playing as a linebacker for the New York Giants (1981–1993), has always ended up on the wrong side of the marriage. To date, he has married thrice, but none of them made it far.

His first wife is reportedly Deborah Belinda Taylor, with whom he was married between 1982 and 1996. After the end of his first marriage, he tied the knot with his second wife, Maritza Cruz Taylor, a singer, in 2001.

But Lawrence's second marriage also ended in divorce circa 2005 after Maritza suspected he was unfaithful to her. Speaking with Inside Edition in 2010, the singer, who was with a band called Cache at that time, said women threw themselves at her ex-husband while adding, "the Taylor I met was kind, was gentle, was a good person."

The linebacker's last known marriage was with his third wife, Lynette Taylor. The union also went through a great deal of drama in 2016 after Lawrence accused Lynette of domestic violence and got her arrested.

What Happened between Lawrence Taylor and His Spouse Lynette Taylor?

In June 2016, the former football player filed a case against his spouse, Lynette, at the Broward County Sheriff's Office in Florida, claiming she hit him in the back of the head during a fight which caused him to suffer a tiny laceration.

According to TMZ, Lynette initially denied her husband's allegations, saying, "That's a lie. My husband is a 300 pound linebacker." But she was later arrested for domestic violence and resisting arrest when she eventually admitted to throwing an object at Lawrence.

"Yeah, I beat his [expletive]. I made him bleed," she told the officers. Sometime later, she again told them she was sarcastic, and she never hurt her husband. But no one was buying her words by the time.

The publication also reported the police's reports that Lynette was drunk and tried to hit an officer with her arms and legs when they arrived at the scene.

The court later ordered her to stay at least 500 feet away from the linebacker. In addition, she was not allowed to contact him via call, text, or email.

During the hearing, it was also revealed that she had a history of alleged violence, as she was previously arrested at least three times in 1991, 2001, and 2008.

Are They Together Now?

There have been no details about the couple's marital status since the dramatic 2016 incident. In addition, Lawrence has not been spotted with her on social media or during his public appearances. More importantly, it isn't certain that the two might still be living together after the drama.

The two initially walked down the aisle in 2007 and had children together; however, it is unknown how many of them they had from their marriage.

However, Lawrence posted pictures of three grown-up women on National Daughter's Day in 2020, implying he has three daughters. The names of his alleged daughters are Paula Torres, Tanisha Taylor Jones, and Whitney. He also has a son named Lawrence Taylor Jr.

Similarly, he had mentioned one of his daughters in his Instagram post in December 2018, when he was posting about a program launched by his Lawrence Taylor Family Foundation.

In the post, he stated he was excited to partner with his daughter for the program through which they were giving away 500 toys to needy children on Christmas that year.
