Jorgie Porter might never forget the day that her boyfriend Ollie Piotrowski got down on one knee and got back up as her fiancé. 

The boyfriend and girlfriend opened up about their engagement over the first week of December 2021 via an Instagram post.

Come Valentine's Day 2022, and the Hollyoaks star hasn't stopped flaunting photos from the celebrations with her boyfriend turned fiance.

She puts up photos every week, or even every other day at times.

In conversation with Hello! Magazine, Porter detailed how her boyfriend, now fiance, planned the engagement out as a personalized treasure trail for her to follow. 

Piotrowski had planned out the treasure hunt with 12 photo clues, each celebrating a milestone in their love story and each with a handwritten memory. 

The final clue led Porter to an idyllic lakeside chalet. The couple was out spending a weekend at the Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland when all of this happened. 

Ollie Piotrowski's Elaborate Engagement Plans

Porter recalled during the interview that she never thought that the photos were a setup for a proposal by her boyfriend. 

"[Piotrowski] had stuck a Haribo ring on the back of one of the pictures and written 'this is the ordinary,' that it was leading to a proposal never once entered my head," she confessed. 

Suddenly Ollie was on one knee clutching an open box. I couldn't believe what was happening.

When the boyfriend turned fiance actually went down on one knee, Porter couldn't hold back her tears of joy. She burst into tears, as did Piotrowski. 

In fact, Piotrowski was so emotional that he couldn't find his voice to say the words that he had so delicately planned for, so they just hugged. 

He put the ring on her finger and only then asked her to marry him. 

"Of course, I said yes!" Porter recalled. 

Jorgie Porter Never Expected a Proposal from Anybody

On a later day, Porter took to her Instagram to share a small excerpt from her Fabulous Magazine interview where she'd confessed that she had never in her life thought that she'd be proposed to. 

She claimed that the engagement was a surprise, regardless. 

She was also happy about the fact that everyone, even the internet, welcomed this new milestone in her relationship with open arms. She'd been receiving congratulatory messages everywhere. 

"...even on sites where you think people wouldn't usually be that nice, I've felt the love," she said at the time. 

Thus far, Porter's past relationships had led her to believe that marriage would never be an option in her love life.

But now, she felt as though the broken roads were all meant to lead her to his arms. 

Before Ollie, I've never found the right guy or trusted that a man would want to be with me forever but I genuinely feel now like all my past relationships were a learning experience in how to find The One.

The Proposal Was a Silver Lining 

Although the couple manages to end the year on a high note, 2021 had been anything but forgiving to them. 

The couple was pregnant with quadruplets against massive odds, only to find out 14-weeks in that there were no signs of life in her womb. 

"The day we found out, we lost four pieces of our hearts," she recalled. 

After facing the ordeal herself, she chose to be vocal about her pain in the hopes that she could perhaps help other people suffering the same fate by letting them know that they were not alone.
