Former American football coach Jon Gruden is a happily married man. He and his wife, Cindy Gruden, has been married for more than 30 years since 1991.
Despite all the highs and lows in their personal and professional lives, the husband and wife have stayed by one another's side and successfully managed the family of five.
Yes, Jon and Cindy are parents to three kids, making them a strong family of five. Their three kids are — Michael Gruden, Jayson Gruden, and Deuce Gruden.
How It All Started
It all started for the Gruden family when Jon and Cindy first met each other in 1985 while attending the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
There, the former football coach worked as a graduate assistant at the time, while his longtime spouse was a student and a member of the cheerleading squad.
Hence, they allegedly build a solid foundation for their relationship around that time.
In July 1991, after dating each other for a few years, the pair eventually tied the knot. However, very little is known about their wedding at present.
In the 1990s, Cindy worked at the National Cheerleader Association, where she taught college and high school students.
Interestingly, Jon, who was already coaching football teams, surprised his wife's students when he dropped in unannounced to one of her classes.
Jon Gruden and Wife’s Kids Are All Grown up Now
The power couple allegedly didn't leave any stone unturned when it came to the upbringing of their kids.
As a result of that, their kids, who are all grown up now, are doing well in their respective careers.

The oldest of their kids, Deuce, reportedly worked as a strength and conditioning assistant for the Oakland Raiders in the past.
In addition, he was on the strength and conditioning staff on the Washington Redskins when Jon’s brother, Jay Gruden, was the head coach of the team.
These days, Deuce is also a powerlifter while continuing to become a member of the Raiders’ strength staff.
On the other hand, Jon and Cindy's other son — Jayson — chose a different sport than his father. He is an MMA player, who made his Muay Thai fighting debut in 2018.
Jayson reportedly trains at the Combat Sports Academy gym in Dublin.
Speaking of Michael, he is a college graduate and keeps an interest in music. In fact, he describes himself with the name HEXED.
He even released a single titled 'Nicey' in collaboration with MorFlo Records and Kimati, an artist, in 2022.
Jon Gruden’s Wife Is a Philanthropist, Too!
In recent years, Jon's wife, Cindy, has dedicated herself to society and various social welfare works, earning her the tag of a philanthropist.
During the coronavirus pandemic, she worked with various organizations and helped people in need. She also helped to create an online course at the University of Tennessee.
On the contrary, the NFL coach resigned as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021, even though he still had seven years left on his contract.
Many speculated that he took the decision to spend time with his family.
