On June 22, 2022, celebrity news outlet DeuxMoi shared a tip by an anonymous follower about Hilary Duff and her older sister Haylie Duff.

The follower claimed to be neighbors with Haylie's celebrity friend. The friend told the follower that the sisters' feud was because of the difference in their political views.

Hilary was liberal, while her sister, who followed Candace Owens, an American conservative influencer, was the opposite, meaning she was conservative.

The follower also stated that one reason Haylie moved to Texas was because she could not stand liberal Hollywood anymore.

It is unconfirmed if this information is true, but drama reporter Jordycrayy, who goes by @jordycrayy on TikTok, uploaded a video on TikTok saying he believed this to be true.

Jordycrayy was the first to notice that the Duff sisters were in a feud.

He first reported this on TikTok in February 2022, saying that he had done extensive research to conclude this.

According to Jordycrayy, the sisters were very close and always together, but he suspected they had not been on speaking terms since January 2021.

Hilary had liked none of Haylie's Instagram posts since January 26, 2021, and before this, the Lizzie McGuire star was one of the main people to double-tap her sister's posts regularly.

The sisters often appeared in each other's feeds doing different activities, but that also stopped.

Jordycrayy also figured out that Hilary's husband, Matthew Koma, was not following Haylie on Instagram, even though she was still following him.

Besides the unfollowing, the TikToker iterated Haylie was also not present at Hilary's 2019 wedding. This led him to believe tensions might have been brewing way longer than he expected.

Netizens agreed that non-mutual following status and the no-show at the wedding were some signs that Jordycrayy was onto something.

And then, in April 2021, Haylie revealed she still had not met Hilary's newborn child.

The TikToker shared that for sisters who always seemed close, it seemed odd that Haylie had not met Hilary's kid yet, given that they lived close to each other in Los Angeles.

Even though Jordycrayy was highly suspicious that things were tense between the sisters, he was still doubtful about the feud.

But all that changed on February 19, 2022, during Haylie's 37th birthday.

The TikToker knew that if his theories were correct, fans would not be seeing a birthday shout-out from the Gossip Girls alum. And Jordycrayy was proven right when Hilary posted nothing the entire day.

This was a huge sign the Duff sisters were not on talking terms because the sisters never missed a beat for birthday shout-outs.

Then, in March 2022, Hilary finally liked a photo of Haylie's kids, the first one since January 2021.

Jordycrayy opined that this was probably a strategic move on the actress' part because the feud between the sisters was gaining traction, and maybe she did not want that.

If the latest DeuxMoi post is anything to go by, it seems Jordycrayy could be right.
