On January 30, 2022, the San Francisco 49ers suffered a devastating 20-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams after blowing a 10-point lead in the NFC Championship Game. 

The 49ers were set up perfectly to return to the 2022 Super Bowl with 17-7 against the Rams at one point. 

But during the crunch time, the Rams scored 13 points and handed a shocking loss to the 49ers. 

And just like that, 49ers tight end George Kittle’s 5th and “maybe toughest” NFL season ended. 

George’s wife, Claire Kittle, a fashion and lifestyle blogger from Iowa, posted a tribute for her beloved husband on Instagram to mark the occasion. 

She uploaded a carousel from the game with her fellow WAGs teams. She also posted a photo of George kissing her forehead post-game.

In the caption, the wife wrote a heartfelt message for the tight end, expressing her love and admiration for her athlete husband. 

George replied to his wife's message in the comments, writing, “My Wonder Woman!!”

The blogger concluded the post by stating she loved him and would always root for him. 

George Kittle’s Wife Rooting for Him

And just like she mentioned in her caption, Claire was rooting for him throughout the NFL season. 

Throughout George’s fifth season, the lifestyle blogger had been cheering on the Niners.

In early January, she and fellow 49ers WAGs hit SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, where San Francisco defeated their division rival in overtime.

She also traveled to Dallas a few days later, where the 49ers beat the Cowboys, 23-17 on a wild-card weekend. 

After that, she made her way to the Frozen Tundra, home to the NFL Green Bay Packers. 

In a dedicated Instagram post ahead of the game between San Francisco and Green Bay, George’s spouse opened up about her love for football.

She revealed that this time she was rooting for the 49ers even though she was brought up in a family of diehard Packer fans. 

The fashion blogger recalled her family had a ritual of watching football every Sunday. 

“The Midwest is where I learned to love football, but the Bay is where I fell in love with football,” wrote Claire. 

George Kittle and His Wife Relationship

Kittle met his wife when they attended the University of Iowa together. 

At the time, Claire, who was his girlfriend, played for the Hawkeye women’s basketball team.

Their relationship flourished, and in the summer of 2019, he proposed to Claire.

During an interview on 95.7 The Game, the tight end opened up about the proposal. 

He revealed that he tricked his partner into thinking they were attending a couple’s photoshoot for the 49ers brochures and website.

The fake photoshoot took place on the Santa Cruz beach. 

George had their head photographer and two head video guys set up the fake photoshoot, and Claire had no idea.

“We were doing a whole photoshoot on the beach; cameras, we had a drone down there, lighting, everything that you possibly need,” revealed George.

And when Claire got a little distracted, he popped the question.
