Ashley Nicolle Ross, famously known as Ashlee Simpson, is a singer-songwriter, actress, and dancer. She is best known for her appearances in the family drama 7th Heaven and reality shows Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica and The Ashlee Simpson Show.

She initially rose to fame as the younger sister of singer and actress Jessica Simpson and began her career as a backup dancer for her sister.

Coming to her personal life, Simpson is a happily married family woman. She has been married to her husband, Evan Ross, for over seven years, i.e., since August 2014.

The reality star is also a mother to three children: Bronx Wentz, Ziggy Blu Ross, and Jagger Snow Ross. She welcomed the latter two with her present spouse.

Ashlee Simpson and Husband Evan Ross Felt a Connection at First Sight

Simpson and her husband Ross first met at a friend's birthday party in the early 2010s.

"We met at my friend's birthday party," the singer stated in a sneak peek clip of the reality television series Ashlee + Evan in September 2018. She added, "Evan walked in and he was really cute, and I was like, 'Who's this Mr. Cool Pants?'"

The couple then admitted that they had a dance-off and subsequently "made out" at the same party.

In March 2021, while speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show, Simpson further explained that the two felt a connection right away after they first locked eyes.

"If you know Ashley, she likes to dance at a party and she... it's amazing," Ross added before his wife revealed that she had never danced with a man at a party before that day.

"I've never had a dance-off with a guy. Like, oh I like this because it's you know that would be cool but it was so much fun [sic]," she said.

The couple was first spotted together in early July 2013, and the following month, they debuted their relationship in public at the launch of the Jessica Simpson Fall 2013 Campaign.

Inside Their Engagement and Mariage

Simpson and Ross hadn't even dated for a year when Ross, an actor renowned for his role in the 2006 film ATL, went down on one knee to propose to his beloved.

The two apparently got engaged in January 2014. "My baby love and I are ENGAGED!!!" she tweeted at the time.

The same year in August, the love birds also tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony at Diana Ross’ Greenwich, Connecticut estate. At the wedding, Simpson's sister served as the maid of honor while her son Bronx — from her relationship with musician Pete Wentz — walked his mother down the aisle.

7 Years Later - A Happy Family

Seven years into the marriage, and Simpson and her husband Ross have a happy family together.

The two first welcomed their first baby together on July 30, 2015 — a baby girl named Jagger. The duo was simultaneously looking after Simpson's son Wentz.

"He’s amazing. Yeah, we’re all close friends. Thank God," Ross said of Wentz, implying he was also a good co-parent to Bronx.

Simpson and Ross then expanded their family, as they gave birth to their second baby, a son named Ziggy, in October 2020.

Presently, the extended family of five lives together while managing a very healthy love between each other. The couple also shares the love between the family through social media, posting adorable pictures in a timely manner.
