Antonio Brown is no stranger to controversies. The NFL player has been at the center of many scandals, from creating tensions with the Steelers to alleged sexual and domestic assaults.

This time, it is with Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers apparently had a rough time after Brown quit the team midgame on January 2, 2022. As a result, the team's coach fired him.

But it seems like Brown is not affected much by getting fired since he recently released a new single.

Antonio Brown Quit Midgame and Got Fired

The January 2, 2022 game between Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets was filled with tension and drama, to say the least.

Initially, the Buccaneers were down 10-24 against the Jets during the third quarter. Brown seemingly had a breakdown during that time, and he quit in the middle of the game.

He was with his teammates on the sidelines when he walked away from them, looking angry and frustrated.

Then, he started taking his jersey off. Mike Evans (the wide receiver and number 13 on Tampa Bay Buccaneers) tried to stop him. However, Evans could not, and he let Brown go.

Brown then took off his gloves, shoulder pads, and undershirt and threw them at the audience. He encouraged them to cheer for him while he ran off to the lockers.

After he quit, it was reported he left the stadium in an Uber.

Fortunately for the Buccaneers, Brown's exit did not affect the game. They took over the control and celebrated their victory of 28-24 against the Jets.

However, Brown sealed his fate with the NFL team after he quit midgame.

At the post-game conference, the head coach of the Buccaneers, Bruce Arians, addressed the situation. He said Brown was no longer a part of the team or, in his words, "no longer a Buc."

Arians later spoke to Jay Glazer from Fox NFL Sunday and revealed Brown had been fired. He remarked he had never seen a player react as Brown did in the middle of the game.

The coach further added he asked Brown to return to the game repeatedly, but the NFL player refused. As a result, Arians fired Brown from the team.

Bucs' football quarterback Tom Brady later responded to Brown's exit and termination.

In a post-game interview, he said that it was a difficult situation and hoped everyone could help Brown get help.

Brady also mentioned they all loved and cared about him deeply. "We wanna see him be at his best. Unfortunately, it won't be with our team," he added.

Antonio Brown's New Single

Now that Brown is no longer an NFL player (at least before other teams take him in), it seems like he is diverting from football.

A couple of hours after the fiasco, Brown released a new single, 'Pit Not The Palace.'

He posted the link to his single on his Twitter account.

While people were suspicious that the song's lyrics would be about his exit, it did not mention the incident. Instead, the single's lyrics referred to his luxurious lifestyle.
