Is Allison Janney Married?

Allison Janney has had several relationships over the years while parallelly relishing her Hollywood fame.

But despite being in multiple romantic relationships, the Academy Award-winning actress never had kids.

Speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show in April 2021, Janney implied that she would have been a mother and had kids if she had found the right guy at the right time.

"I think if I would have found the right guy at the right time who wanted to have kids, I probably would have with the right partner because I wasn't ever really confident that I wanted to have kids," she stated.

Is Allison Janney Married to a Husband?

The answer is no. The actress has never had a husband, and as she mentioned in the previous interview, she never found quite the right time or partner to settle down.

However, Janney also didn't want to dwell on the past or what could have been. Instead, she was thankful that she didn't have a husband or end up becoming a real-life mother.

"I would rather regret not having kids than have kids and regret that," she told Drew Barrymore.

The actress expressed she would love to eventually find someone, not particularly a husband, to share her life with.

"but if it doesn't happen, I think I'll be just fine—but it would be nice," she added, admitting she was single at present.

During the same interview, the Mom star also talked about going totally natural with her gray hair, explaining "how amazing it is to feel free."

"To be able to run my hands through my hair and hopefully sometime a man will be able to run his hands through my hair and appreciate it, it's just heaven," she jokingly said.

Richard Jenik Almost Became Allison Janney's Husband

In 2002, Janney met actor Richard Jenik, a guy almost ten years younger than her, through a mutual friend.

They initially started as friends but later began dating each other. The actor eventually popped the question two years later, and Janney said yes.

The diva even gushed about her perfect relationship with Jenik during an interview with Women's Health Magazine in November 2005.

She stated they were supportive of each other, and Jenik helped her quell her fears about their age difference.

And while Jenik was close to becoming her husband, the actress also had fears about getting married.

"I used to have a recurring dream that I would marry a man and, right after the ceremony, they'd turn into somebody completely different," she shared.

However, at the time, she expressed confidence that Jenik was the right man for her.

But she surprised everyone when she ended her engagement with the Deadwater actor in 2006.

Two years later, Allison spoke with The Guardian and said she would probably never find another partner.

"Because it's Hollywood and I'm a woman over 40 and it seems impossible," she said. "I think I'm done. That's the way I feel. I'm kind of depressed about that. A little bit."

Besides Jenik, Janney dated famed personalities, including computer programmer Dennis Gagomiros and production manager Philip Joncas, in the past.
