Turner and Chung’s relationship was in the spotlight for quite some time and was well documented too.

However, the thing that stands out the most about their relationship was the love letter that Turner wrote for his then girlfriend.

The letter was found at a bar and quickly circulated on Tumblr. To this day, the letter still makes its way around the internet as what many consider as, one of the most romantic love letters.

Alexa Chung and Alex Turner started dating in 2007. While not much is known about how the two got together, there’s plenty of information about their split.

Turner and his then girlfriend split after four years together because of their hectic schedules.

When the pair split, Mirror reported that a source close to Chung shared the pair hadn’t been doing great for some time.

When both Turner and his girlfriend were at the Glastonbury festival, the couple barely spoke to each other.

The outlet also reported that the pair decided to go their separate ways and remain friends since their relationship wasn’t working out. They reported,

“Alexa and Alex both wanted things to work. It was best that they both got out now and saved their friendship.”

Chung’s spokeswoman, Liz Matthews, also confirmed Turner and his girlfriend’s split. “It’s completely amicable—but yes, it’s true. They have split.”

Chung later got candid about her relationship with Turner in a chapter of her book It. She also shared she was good friends with Turner when talking to The Guardian in 2013. She referred to him as her best friend.

Alexa Chung and Alex Turner Move On

Following his split from Chung, Turner dated Arielle Vandenberg until 2014. When their relationship came to an end, the Arctic Monkeys frontman moved on with Taylor Bagley in May 2015.

Turner and Bagley had gotten a matching couples tattoo of each other’s name.

However, she later covered it up after breaking up with him towards the end of 2018.

The tattoo used to cover up his name was a tribute to Scooter, the dog she and Turner shared. Turner also dedicated his band’s Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino album to their dog.

Turner began dating Louis Verneuil starting in 2018 and is still together. Similarly, Chung dated actor Alexander Skarsgard and Matt Hitt after splitting with Turner.
